He will be always be dissed for being not Kobe or Lebron... we must know he is T-Mac and he will give us what he can. His legs simply got tired in the 4th in last two games. Imagine yourself in his position with all of burden on his shoulders (not making to 2nd round countless times, two starters out, and other players suddenly disappearing) and try to win the game. Pretty hard if you ask me. I appreciate all of your work, T-mac, even though some people think it wasn't enough.

Give this guy a break. He is our superstar along with Yao and most importantly, a Houston Rocket and a human being.

This should be the official appreciation thread for him!

Now there's a criticism I agree with. I would much rather him take a difficult layup attempt than just about anyone else on the squad.

LMAO... anyways, great thread. TMac did really play his heart out and we still lost. We don't give him credit for the wins because its a team game, why for the losses? Go TMac!

Thanks TMac, you certainly played a great game and gave your best.

(TMac- listen if Van Gundy was still coach it would have been all his fault and all those other threads would have been about firing him)

i'm afraid the organization wants to make someone the scapegoat this yr (like they did JVG last yr).

if we learned anything this yr, any improvement in coaching wouldn't matter if your role players disappear. this happened to JVG last yr.

but b/c of the immense pressure this organization is under, i think someone big will happen this offseason. i just hope we don't trade tracy for a bag of chips like how the lakers got gasol.

lakerspride - great thread. I've been down on Tmac in the past and am amazed by his rapid decline from greatness, but he played one hell of a game last night.

he shot, distributed, rebounded and defended. The block on Harpring was sick. Finding Battier twice for three's was sick. Driving for the dunk was sick. He took all the criticism and used it as fuel. We lost the game, but it was not on him.

We are playing a healthy team that is clicking on all cylinders while we are down Yao, Rafer and half a Landry. What do people expect?

Every team needs a hero, but every hero needs a team.

I do feel sorry for all the heat he takes at times, but just remember that he has $20,000,000 in cash to help wipe the tears from his eyes.

I usually get on Tmac for not caring enough but I thought he was great this game. He was everywhere and doing everything you could ask from him and more.

He just ran out of gas and was running on empty tank in the 4th, which was no surprise to me. I knew it would happen but you cant blame him. If he hadnt exerted himself the way he did in the first 3 quarters, the game would have been out of reach by the 4th quarter hit.

    Tmac was great.

    He played amazing!

I dont comment much.....but I wanted to with all these hate threads out there on him. He did everything we could ask him to do. Not every player needs to throw powder in the air and dapp his chest every 7 seconds to show that he is playing hard.....

No way Houston is going to win the series, though I would love to. For the players, they should focus on next game and try to win the next one.

For the management, they should start thinking about offseason trade now.

People who dissed Tracy for game 2 need a reality check. TMac pretty much played on the level of Jordan in the 90's; however, the rest of the team played like the Heat of '07-'08.

We really need to work on team chemistry, it seems. When we had the 22 game win streak, EVERYONE was hitting threes! From Mac to Battier, Jackson to Head, everyone's shots and shot selection was amazing!

I know people have said this after game 1, but...the Rockets need to take a good, long hard look at themselves. No Yao? No Alston? Going against a team thats virtually unbeatable at home?

At least split the next two games, to get back SOME respect. At least do it for the giant with the stress fracture. At least do it for the fans.

When we were in our winning streak the offense was not...bring the ball up and hand it off to Tmac....it was about ball movement, motion and everyone is a threat to score the ball.

Slowly Tmac has choked the offense back down to his style.....and guess what, it doesn't work.

Wow you're going to blame T-Mac for choking the offense back to suit him? That's going too far. Everyone contributed during the streak. That's why we won. No one is contributing now, that's why we're going to lose. T-Mac is more of a constant than you think and he has very little to do with the success. He's going to come and play, whether people believe that or not, it's up to the team if they want to do the same.
