    i agree. i think burke is in CF unless he just really sucks at the plate. and i don't see them trading him. when biggio gets to 3,000, i think we'll see a lot less of him...and i think that opens up an opportunity for a vacant CF with Burke getting more time at second.

    So much of this depends on Biggio. I can definitely see how he could be a bit reinvigorated this year: knowing it's 99% sure that it's his last hurrah, and getting ample rest. It's not out of the question for him to prolong his early season success well into the summer & beyond. I just hope, for sanity's sake, that the hordes don't start calling for his head the minute he goes into a 10 game funk.

    I also see Loretta getting any & just about all PT at 2nd when Biggio sits.

    Burke's defense in center may play into this more than his offense. He's apparently still a work in progress.

    So many variables. Will be fun.
