They're nice guys too. Calvin gave me the good old "thumbs-up" when he saw me at the game on Saturday. I think he genuinely likes seeing Rocket fans at away games. ------------------ Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon is the greatest player in the history of basketball. If you disagree, you are not a Rocket fan.
RMan95 - True, Bill did correct himself later, but he did say earlier in the game that Vaughn played at Utah, and later he was corrected by Calvin that Padgett played for Kentucky, not KU. (Bill said that all 3 guys on that side of the court on offense were all from KU, and Padgett was one of those 3 players.) In the end, he got the info correct, but being a KU fan, it bothered me that he didn't get it right off the bat. Again, as i said in my first post, despite these 2 tiny mistakes about my college team, I still love them and think that they work really well together. ------------------ "You couldn't have stuck a pin up his @#! with a jackhammer. You sure he wasn't trying to just shove you off his shoulders when you climbed on him with every loss of the lead? Ok... just kidding. You're right, Old School. I won't bother you anymore. Pat yourself on the back, you've got me terrified, indeed. As a junior member, I've no right to question you. I'll skip your topics in the future. ------------------
My arms are sore from the number of times I've had to pat myself on the back. I eventually had to hire people to do it for me, but thanks for the suggestion. I see you have reached "member" status. Good for you. You are more than welcome to question my posts...isn't that what the forums are for? You will never skip my posts, trust me. You still haven't answered my question: why can you bash Cato but I can't bash the announcers??? Oh, that's right...you aren't reading this post. Old School ------------------ I voted YES!
Okay, maybe once. Here it is: Cato has tremendous talent, but he can't seem to play with any fire or get into playing shape. Calvin & Bill, however, are a bit different, obviously. What could they do differently? There are certainly more chat rooms/posts that criticize Cato than the TV team. Sure, sometimes Calvin's wacky, but he's a unique individual, not only as a former Rocket, but also as a Hall of Famer. I didn't mean to start a fuss, so for that I apologize. I'll remember you as the one who helped me get to member status, as I had wondered what would get me there. Cooler heads must prevail. You're probably as much as a die-hard fan as I am. With Cato, it's easy to live with missed shots, but it should irk the fans when the guy doesn't even try. C-ya. ------------------
Everybody talking about Calvin and Bill... geez... They're good, but there's better. For example, how come nobody's mentioning the line that was said when Steve Francis crossed-over Jacque Vaughn? : "It's official, he just had his name changed to ILostMyJacque Vaughn". Now that was classic, no? ------------------ "We need a chicken butt." -- heypartner is moving swiftly to help make the CC.net BBS more efficient and run faster. Tonight Bill said the Mavericks were in China trying to sign "Wong Zoo Zoo" Calvin's response: Oh really? Wong? Inchresting. Actually guys, he's already in Dallas, and his name's Wang ZhiZhi. How could they not know this? Every other freakin' announcer knew. I love Bill and Calvin, but sometimes...*shakes head* ------------------ The season's almost over...and I still really need that keg of Pepto-Bismol.
