So we are not the worst projected team in the West after all: We are 14th out of 15. The Phoenix Suns is projected as the worst team in the West. Sources: ESPN Insider
Hate to say it, but the suns will have a better record than Houston assuming K Martin is gone by the allstar break. Why does ESPN suck on so many levels? Why are they almost always wrong about everything?
In before, *whatever none of these people know what they're talking about, we will win 40+games*. Besides, it's bspn, what the hell do they know. *Fast forwards to the end of the year*, this was all part of morey's plan anyways and we need lottery picks to rebuild the "Thunder Way"
What a joke. We will definitely be better than the Hornets and the Kings, no question. We will probably be better than at least a couple other teams as well.
People are dramatizing the effect Nash's absence will have on the Suns In reality, the Suns have a good roster.. One or two significant pieces away from being a contender IMO and should do better than us for sure, unless we have ROTY in our midst and MIP (PatPat promised us this award is his this year)
35. Sounds optimistic. Assuming they incur no injuries to Jeremy Lin or Kevin Martin for the whole season. Which is is about as likely as the record being above 500 this time. So around or slightly below 35.
If KMart goes down this season its going to be detrimental. He is going to be the spearhead of our offense at least in the short while.. unless something amazing happens to one of our rookies Also if he gets injured his trade stock goes down, he's our most profitable asset at the current time
Everyone thinks the Suns will be crap with Nash's departure, no one probably even knows they signed the Dragon and he is epic.
in reality, I think there will be more than 2 teams under 30 wins. They are picturing the West too tightly packed.
The Suns have a roster that will not net them the worst record in the West (that honor will belong to the Rockets, or Hornets), but they definitely will not make the playoffs - I think they're dead-on with their first 9 picks, and the Suns will be in contention for the 10th or 11th spot in the West... The Suns will presumably start Dragic, Shannon Brown, Michael Beasley, Luis Scola and Marcin Gortat. What's going to happen is Brown will continue to clank pull up 3s in transition because he doesn't have Kobe's presence on the court to create open shots for him, Beasley will ruin a lot of possessions for them, Scola will be relegated to a mid range jump shooter because teams will double him on the block (because Beasley and Gortat are both poor post scorers), and on defense, it's 3 bad defensive players (Scola, Beas, Brown), 1 average (Dragic) and 1 above average in Gortat. And who's on their bench? Robin Lopez, Channing Frye, Jared Dudley. That's a crap-tastic team that is stuck in the middle - out of contention for a top 10 pick, but definitely not good enough to make the playoffs when other teams like Minny are expected to make the leap (and GSW, if Barnes pans out)
right now sun's roster is better than ours. Gortat, Beasley, dragic and scola they are all good players and much more experienced than our rookies
