If Battier & Hayes are still on the team they will be keeping the bench warm.

I would like to see a 10 man rotation

    Brooks 26, Lowry 22
    Martin 30, Taylor 12, Budinger 06
    Ariza 26 Budinger 22
    Scola 30 Hill 10, PP 8
    YM 25 Miller 23 :p

How would you divide up the minutes?

I would ideally prefer like a 10-man rotation for the sake of developing our rookies.

    C: Yao (25), Miller (23), Jeffries (0), Anderson (0)
    PF: Scola (30), Pat (18), Hayes (0), Hill (0),
    SF: Ariza (25), Battier (23)
    SG: Martin (35), Bud (13), Taylor (0)
    PG: Brooks (30), Lowry (18)

    • My biggest question is Pat. If he's solid, I want him to develop him. If not, then we can use Hill because I think we need an athletic garbage man with size more than Hayes' defense and passing against a bench unit. As for Hill vs Pat, I prefer Pat. Pat's a better defender and better shooter. I think Hill can be a great clean-up player but, since we now have Miller, I don't want an undersized C with defensive deficiencies.

    • I prefer Brooks to play 30 because I think if we can rest him more, his shot and speed will be more explosive and more consistent. Besides, that's why we're paying Lowry the big money for. On the other hand, Martin conserves his energy very well and we need his constant FT offense.

    • I think Ariza is good in limited minutes, he will be more efficient and will be a top10 in steals. He starts because he's younger and can still develop. Battier still gets 23 because he remains a great defender and brings together our team defense.

    • I see Bud taking minutes from JT because he can pass and spot up. I'd only use JT if we're playing against a team with less defense and we need instant offense. I also assume we're taking JT over Smith because we'll need offense more than a passer if an injury happens.

Hayes gives you something Miller doesn't, elite post defense and help defender.

I think Morey has one more move in the works to rid ourselves of Andersen and add a legit star to go to in the final seconds... if not in the offseason then at the deadline i see us combining Anderson, Jefferies, Battier or Ariza, NY Pick and Brooks, For Danny Granger TJ Ford... to start the season i see either miller starting or yao starting but only playing 20/25 mins

    Ming (23)/Miller (25)
    Scola(30)/Hill (10)/PP (8)
    Granger(33)/Battier(15)
    Martin(30)/Cbud(18)
    Lowry(35)/Ford(13)

Ming's mins will go up as the season progresses.... But that lineup can hang with anyone anywhere

Stephenson, Rolle, and McRoberts are looking good for the Pacers in SL.

All their bad contracts expire after this season.

    Price, Stephenson
    Rush, D.Jones
    Granger, George
    Hansbrough, McRoberts
    Hibbert, Rolle

It doesn't look like they'll have much incentive to dump Granger. If they want to re-build they might as well just leave things as they are plus they'll have cap space.

Shane is going to get the bulk of those minutes your giving chase at the 3 .

Unless Shane goes down with a injury real or manufactured

Fairly meaningless to predict minutes in July. Who knows what trades will happen before season starts and even if there is no trade, who knows what will happen when the guys are put on the court together. The coaches will adjust the minutes and lineups once the team gets some practices and games under their belts and as the season goes on.

I mean, a few years ago I could swear Kirk Snyder was our 2 guard of the present and future when the Rockets traded for him. I also drafted Stro Swift for my fantasy team when Tracy promised to make Stro an All Star.
