I'm all for Bosh. Perfect fit for this team. I can't believe we haven't heard anything yet. I wish Melo would hurry up so we don't miss out on all the other targets. Ready to see what next year will look like.

Don't really know about the truth of this statement in the OP.

What was said is that "a rival team executive" thinks that Bosh would prefer the 4 year max from an outside team over a discounted longer deal. On what evidence does this rival team executive base his thinking? He isn't in Bosh's head.

My suspicion is that the executive talked to Bosh's agent, who said Bosh would give serious consideration to an outside max offer and maybe that Bosh isn't 100% down with taking a big discount. But this could just be Bosh and his agent exploring options, not that he's really close to planning an exit yet.

We'll just have to see how it all plays out.

I put Bosh on our team
    1. LaMarcus doesn't run through us like The Sisters running through Andy in Shawshank
Bosh v Duncan in the finals
    Tim Duncan 33.1mins 15.4pts 10.0TRb 2.0asst 0.4stl 0.8blks
    Chris Bosh 36.3mins 14.0pts 5.2trb 1.0asst 0.8stl 0.2blks

I don't think Duncan 'DOMINATED' him. Miami was killed in the back court and wing players more than the front court.

We were 4-0 against the Spurs . . .. without bosh.
I think Bosh is better against Durant and Dirk than anyone we have

My first thought is that I don't think Bosh is worth a max contract... but then as another poster mentioned - it's just Les's money... and figurin that we can keep the core intact by exceeding the cap to resign our existing core and then supplement that for the next 3-4 years through draft picks, mle's, etc.... why not?

We're basically locking in D12/Bosh/Parsons/Harden/Bev for the next 3+years with little wiggle room... is that lineup gonna win us a championsip(s)? I think its as good a lineup as we're gonna see... may as well throw the dice...

What dos Bosh care about Bron? Bosh got his rings = time to make max money! All Bosh should be worrying about now is maximizing his earning potential for the remainder of his NBA career... The guy is 30 now...

He's also a nice PnR defender, which is something we got burned on regularly last year.

I'm just going to safely assume you're a LOF and know nothing about basketball.

Right... and now it's close to July 10th and from all reports it appears what Riley is able to come up with for using the cap space might not be impressive.

I don't even think Bosh realizes the possibilities of what joining this Houston team could do for him. Unless Wade steps hi game up this year that team is going to be stuck in second place. If he realizes what's good for him he'd get on the next plane to Houston. He is not washed up. In fact I think he should be hitting his prime. He and Lebron should have been the focal point of the offence with Wade playing 3rd string. Wade is done.

So we give up on Parsons and kill team chemistry just to get Love? When we can get someone who does everything that Love does AND plays better defence WITHOUT having to give up Chandler.
If Bosh is available you go after him HARD!

Bosh is living the dream in Miami. He has *two* homes there, plays with the best player in the world and is always in contention for a ring in the East. He won't come to Houston unless Lebron bolts. That's the way it is.

I feel like, having the same agent as Dwyane Wade, Bosh can only be getting the shaft in that situation.

Of course Dwyane will get his contract. In the meanwhile everyone will be selling the company line to Bosh, about "sacrifice" and "taking one for the team". I wouldn't be surprised if it happens.

The problem with the big three isn't Bosh, it's Wade and his decrepit knees. Dude is a liability now and getting worse. He may have flashes of glory, but his inconsistency will make Lebron regret his decision.

You have to imagine that Bosh is thinking about this too

The 'next' problem Bosh/Wade may have to deal with is if they accept undermarket deals then Union may be upset they left big $$$ on table.

MLB Union would stomp that; will NBA Union?
