i agree there are some dumb threads about the rockets sometimes. but pretty often if its not just a posted article there are usually people b****ing about something in it. it gets annoying.

I couldn't sleep, so I thought I'd see if I missed anything here in the last 12 to 15 hours. I find an interesting looking CP3 thread, so I check it out. I find m0e throwing a hissyfit about "wrong forum", even after its been moved to the right forum. I guess m0e's trying to catch DD's post count. A simple "wrong forum" without all the *********** would have done the trick and then everyone could enjoy the opinions on the subject. Repeatedly bashing those who disagree with your opinion or style gets you posts not points. Like Ill-Skillz said - if you don't spew crap, you won't have as many flies to swat!

BTW - I have more days on this earth than you have posts on this forum. Also isn't Pablo dead?

My average of days on earth + post count x number of states I've lived in + (number of Facebook friends + number of Twitter updates x number of legitimate kids) is higher than anyone here.

I agree. His game speaks for itself and I believe it was him that got the Hornets into the playoffs last season. Everyone else they had was either injured or had a subpar year. My concern would be if his game would mesh with Yao's. The best comparison to date, but not perfect, would be the failure that happened in Phoenix.

Another noob chiming in on this one...

As I said in another thread, as a former Hornets fan, Chris Paul is not only tradeable, but I am willing to bet that at worst he's traded by next season. Why? Shinn.

    Look at the record--

The Larry Johnson (in his Grandmama days)/Alonzo Mourning/Dell Curry/Muggs Bogues Hornets were a nice up-and-coming team and community darlings, but then...

Traded Alonzo Mourning (the fan favorite) when he was arguably at the top of his game for Glen Rice and filler (Matt Geiger).

Worked to a decent good season with Glen Rice and Larry Johnson (anyone remember him?). Glen Rice even won the All-Star Game MVP--the only Hornet to this day to do so. Then he traded Glen Rice for Eddie Jones and filler, even though there was a good chance that Jones wasn't going to stick around to resign a contract (ended up signing with Miami).

Then traded Larry Johnson to the Knicks for..wait for it...Anthony Mason and Brad Lohaus.

Luck then bounced his way and he got to draft Baron Davis. That headband team swept Miami in the first round of the playoffs in 2001 and took Milwaukee to game 7. After losing game 7, the local arena vote failed and the team moved to NOLA.

Then he traded Baron Davis for the likes of Speedy Claxton and Dale Davis.

And oh by the way, fired the best coach before Byron Scott--Paul Silas--without telling him directly, even though they practically lived next door to each other.

And lets not forget that he did give Kobe his wish and traded him for Vlade Divac.

For the record, I used to live in Charlotte and bailed on the Hornets after they bailed on Charlotte in 2001.

When it comes to trading your big-ticket stars, Shinn leads the way and shows other owners how its done.

Also, people keep talking about the Hornets having bad attendance if Paul is traded. Why should they care? They have the sweetheart deal with the State of Louisiana that guarantees their profitability AND allows them to leave New Orleans with NO penalty if their attendance falls below a certain level.

WHEN (not if) Shinn trades Chris Paul, it will be about $$$. Any side benefit of talent and wins is gravy. Again, please refer to Alonzo Mourning, Larry Johnson, Glen Rice, and Baron Davis replaced by Matt Geiger, Anthony Mason, Brad Lohaus, Eddie Jones, Speedy Claxton, and Dale Davis.

It shouldn't, He's just trying to make the n00bs feel better.

It feels good to be an internet legend. Pwning some n00bs, cracking some skulls like Forrest Whittaker in Last King of Scotland.

    4 Green Dots, AWESOME.

    Bow down.

    Yup, what were you expecting?

    7 feet tall, muscle bound?

    :D

Luckily, personal appearance has absolutely nothing to do with wit and humor, because I'm as below average as they come in that department.

Hope you get sued for using that name without the expressed written consent of Fox. :D
