No I don't think so.. Luc has shown propensity to drive and is much more effective then Ariza at that.. That means he can create his offense much more so then Ariza can.. Ariza is however shooting nearly 39% from 3's while luc is at 35.7%.. We need a better shooter to space things when Harden and CP3 are playing, Luc will be able to drive more with one of Cp3 and Harden is on the floor to add more penetrating offense. He is definitely better on defense but not by much.. I like Ariza starting over Luc for the simple reason we need our best shooters to space for our best back court, PJ tucker is already a drop off over Ryan from shooting stand point, can't take that much off a drop off by replacing Ariza with Luc..
Great observation. I see exactly what you're saying. Ariza has been great, so this isn't a knock against him. But with Luc out there things just flow better and we seem to play better. Luc is like a better version of Shawn Marion. He does everything. He defends every position, he rebounds, gets steals, and let's not forget hits his open 3's. One thing he also does is get to the rim. Ariza can't create offense to save his life. Luc makes a difference even when his jumper isn't falling
