Prince Luc should be starting

And we won every game. Maybe we are better off not wasting 5 of his minutes right away when both Paul and Harden on out there. Maybe it's better to have him come in and help span the times only one of our great creators are out there and then, because he didn't play those first 5, he is available for the final 5 if needed when we can run the new lineup of death to close out games.

A starting lineup on a super deep team isn't as simple as playing your best 5. Playing Luc to start games is a waste of his minutes because we have Harden, Paul and Capela out there already.

yup its all about balance. luc has never been as productive playing big extended minutes over the course of a season. he has the perfect role on this team and the usual time he gets most of the time. absolutely no reason to change it

his career speaks for itself. this is by far the best luc has ever played in his career. and thats bc he has found that ideal role on a winning team.

Of course they won every game. And I already said he doesn't have to start. He needs big minutes which he may not get over Anderson and Joe freaking Johnson.

And him starting is fine anyway. What are you talking about a waste of his minutes? What in the world are you saying? There are no diminishing returns with his play.

Ariza's defense is degrading too much.
His 3pt shooting is also inconsistent.

Read what I said. It's pretty simple. Is Luc utilized better and more valuable playing when only one of Paul or Harden on the court or when both? When both Paul and Harden play there isn't as much of a need. Playing Luc right away before Paul takes his first break isn't as valuable as playing him through most of the middle of the game and then having him available at the end.

If you play him at the start and through the middle to help when only one of Paul/Harden are playing then he'll be past his minute allotment and you risk diminishing returns come playoffs by playing him at the end too.

Playing him in the middle portions of the game and at the end is the best use of his 30 or so minutes. So yes, playing him those first 5 or so minutes, when Harden and Paul are both playing, is a waste.

Ariza was also among the first to take a paycut and play for us. Loyalty is a big factor for me.

It was obvious very early how pivotal a pickup he was. Dude plays elite defense, he can attack with the ball in his hands, and he has become a credible shooter. So many things to like about how awesome he is. Literally the only complaint I have is that he doesn't shoot enough, too hesitant to take open shots.

I still don't wanna mess with the current starter/reserve role, the current setup is clearly working. He should consistently be around 24-30 minutes, that way he can maintain high energy.

Love him, can't say enough good things. Hopefully the taxpayer MLE will be enough to retain him in the offseason.

I'm okay with that as long as PJ and Ariza are holding the fort, and making a few baskets.

Luc Mbah a Moute is a baller but why rock the apple cart. It's better to maintain the element of surprise that Luc brings when coming from the bench. I don't thing Ariza would mind coming from the bench if doing so will make the Rockets that much better. Ariza is class act and will not mind at all. I will just like other teams to keep guessing what the will do when Luc gets in the game and who start might not matter anyway because Luc could get more playing time when he gets game like last night.

I don't care if Luc starts, but he should get more of Ryan Andersons and PJ Tucker's minutes against smaller teams. From a defensive standpoint, Harden is the one covering most post up 4's anyway.
