Okay, so let's say you want to ban all kids. What's YOUR definition of a "kid" and at what age does a "kid" cross over into adulthood? If you ban all "kids", what's the acceptable age minimum then for the restaurant?

Oh, keep in mind that whatever answer you give me, I'll just throw the "arbitrary figure!" argument right back in your face. :) Yes, the age limit is subjective, but that's Disney's choice, not yours.

But but but! I KNOW FOR A FACT that my imaginary child is mature at age 15! HOW DARE YOU LECTURE ME ON THE DEFINITION OF MATURITY AND MAKE UP ARBITRARY LIMITS! HAVE YOU NO SHAME?? :)

How is 18 years old commonly accepted as adulthood, anyway? R-rated movies are for those 17 and up. Obtaining a driver's license is commonly at 16. The age of consent is anywhere from 14-18, based on the state. And this is just using the U.S. as a model, too. Abroad, age minimums are much lower. Hmmm, come of think of it, a great deal of Disney World visitors are foreign. I'm not sure all of them would take your figure of "18 and higher" as "commonly accepted". So then what?

Hotballa is a 9 year old male with a penchant for enjoying high-priced meals and making sure that no one else at the restaurant does

No. that was a travesty, a sham, and a mockery.

I would have had to have whipped it out for it to be considered a pissing match.

15 year olds cant drive but 16 can

like where 17 year olds cant buy smokes, but 18 can.

20 cant drink but 21 can.

start collecting retirement at 62 but not 61

51 inch kids cant ride the superman ride but 52 can.

yes but how does a 10 year old add anything to an adult experience that a 9 year old doesn't?

the same goes for 21 being soooo much more mature to be able to handle the purchasing of alcohol, or its ok to smoke at 18, but 17 is bad...etc.

its all arbitrary number assinging but by the time a kid is 10 they are (or should be) able to have a meal in relative peace and quiet...at least that would be the reasoning behind it.

I think they should just ban all kids or allow all kids. What do you do if you have a 9 year old and a 10 year old?

It doesn't matter. The important thing is that you keep them away from Michael Jackson.
