how does T-mac = Battier, captain of the team and hardest worker, become a non-factor? You sir are on drugs.
And you sir are a pawn to star starved commentators who will look for anything to idolize and put on a pedestal when the real stars are out. On a starting line up of Brooks/tmac/ariza/scola/C, what good is Battier coming off the bench? A burst of above average defense? On a second squad he won't get any open looks (like brent barry), his defense isn't that much better than Ariza's to justify him starting. I bet you're going to respond something about "intangibles" that don't show up on the stat sheets, or to the human eyes, or even some magical alien intangible detector. So you can stick with your nebulous buzz words, and I'll stick to basketball, thanks.
All I know is that when I read the thread title I envisioned a blue T-Mac who had all the powers of T-Mac but was created by Skeletor, I guess I should be happy that he's in good shape...
lmao, that seriously made me laugh...they arent even made from the same material.. like comparing apples to bull dozers
Lets continue pretending. AB= Chris Paul Yao is not injured Dorsey = Big Ben Landry= Boozer Lowry= Deron Williams this is fun.
Artest shuts down McGrady so easily its sad. I mean shuts him completely down. And then Artest laughs at him when he misses gimmie dunks. Artest owns McGrady. Owns. So if the opposing teams 3rd or 4th best player (hell maybe 5th) can shut down your 1 standout stud then its nowhere close to even.
Ive seen him do it. A little physicality and T-Mac is done. He quits. Healthy T-Mac at this age isn't fast enough to blow by Artest. McGrady hasn't attacked like a normal superstar in 6 years. Artest would demolish a 100% healthy McGrady. Now if you go back in time and bring 2003 McGrady thats different.
Those who are talented and fast blow by Artest with ease. Artest lost a step on those quick guards. We'll see how Mcgrady is faring.
Pretend Yao comes back in Training Camp and returns to elite status. while you are at it. Pretend Hakeem Olajuwon un-retires in the NBA and returns to elite status Also Pretend Rafer Alston learns how to shoot the basketball.....and returns to elite status.
In 07 mcgrady had that 38 points 12 boards 9 assists game. in 08 mcgrady had 40 point game against ron.....
Wasn't T-Mac Kobe level when he was in Orlando and during his first couple of years in Houston? Aren't Brooks + Lowry > Fisher? Well, I guess it's easier to bash a person than attempt to understand his logic...
Are you attempting to say Battier is better than Tracy Mcgrady in an NBA game? You sir are definitely on drugs.
I am not particularly excited about TMac coming back regardless of his condition. He shoots too much, he coasts during games, plays weak defense, and shows virtually no toughness or determination. He was once highly skilled, but only sparsely has he risen to the occasion (playoffs, streak, etc.). Frankly, if he is in the condition of his life, trade him.
