IF, but he didn't, which means he still has pop in his bat and will contribute for the cardinals and their playoff hopes. Whoever they had before wilson got there wasn't working out either and partly the reason why they are an average team. It gives them more options.

if you'd taken time from b****ing about meaningless things like preston ****ing wilson and actually watched a game, you'd know he's been crushing the ball of late but not finding an holes. and he's still outperforming preston wilson.

but nobody in the 1978 NFL draft wanted preston wilson... (seriously? a 10th rounder? do you even know what you're talking about?)

my point is people are overreacting to one game. sure, he may be an upgrade to one of their outfielders, but he didn't fit in with the Astros, especially with the way Scott is hitting. hell, even Willy T was/is hitting better than him. and the AStros aren't gonna release Lane purely b/c he's much cheaper.

i don't think he realizes that you can't just trade someone after the trade deadline. they have to be claimed on waivers before being traded.. the fact that NO ONE claimed him should say something.

Exactly, of late, before that he really wasn't producing hence my statement of looking at his stats from his 1st to 2nd hr with the astros. He has just recently started hitting better. Before he got here he was on a tear, but then when he arrived, he went into a slump.

About the draft, before you once again criticize my intelligence, why don't you do a little more research before you think you know what you're talking about. The MLB draft consists of 50 rounds, I REPEAT 50 ROUNDS!

my point is that wilson wasn't worth crap to us but a 10 rounder, but its the fact that our rivals don't pick him up

The point (which was clarified before you posted this) is that you can't trade draft picks in MLB.

thank you i saw that....maybe he should have made that a little clearer, it sounded like there wasn't that many rounds in the draft.

I think his insults finally affected me ;)

i do realize the waiver situation, however the astros didnt utilize the full 10 days they had because they wanted to be nice to wilson and let him catch on with another team...unfortunately it is the cards

Believe me I wanted to defend Wilson, and how the Stros are so freaking patient with Lane, Everett, Ensberg, Lidge and Ausmus but were so quick to dismiss Pres.

I don't like it and I hope he haunts the Astros for the move.

Now let the assumptions about my REAL motivation begin....

But you have to really watch Huff to see how hard he was hitting the ball and the kind of outs that he was getting as well....

The same reason I defend Lance Berkman. We're both dorky looking white boys.
