The (non)issue has been McCain's whole campaign this past week. Anybody who was watching the debate had heard of it before. So far it's only hurt McCain as it did tonight as well.
Apparently combat in Iraq is good experience when it comes to teaching math and science to young people.
The best way to ensure we have qualified teachers is not to worry about whether they are qualified or not.
I know...McCain made a dumb ARSE comment about putting them in without teacher certification? Doesn't he realize that a good portion of our military are barely high school educated? SHEESH !! McCain can stay as Senator, Obama will work with him. DD
Yep. "We need to encourage programs such as Teach for America and Troops to Teachers where people, after having served in the military, can go right to teaching and not have to take these examinations which -- or have the certification that some are required in some states." To be fair, I'm not familiar with those programs. But it would seem to me that if they are qualified to teach, they shouldn't have any problem passing a certification test in their subject area.
Except those are scientific polls conducted by pollsters while you just cited online polls. What's funny though is that Obama is winning the AOL poll (but do we really want to trust AOL users) and the Fox News online poll.
You certainly have a thing for the BBS drama queen.. cross forum insults.. unresolved issues I guess. You're apparently as boorish in this forum as you are in others.. no big surprise there.
Except each of the ones I mentioned ARE scientific polls. The ones you mentioned are online nonsense polls. You're just demonstrating that after a year of following this stuff, you still don't understand the basics of politics or polling anymore than you did when you thought Democratic primaries were winner-take-all elections in January. It's pretty difficult to stay that ignorant - I'm impressed!
And that was probably his downfall tonight, and throughout his entire hostile, ultimately desperate, campaign.
I don't know much about these programs, but this seems like a HUGE mistake. I think Obama made Mccain look absolutely silly on health care. I was hoping he would hammer home the 20 million people losing insurance, and the first time insurance benefits are taxable issues. I also agree that Fuel efficient cars are a HUGE deal. With the economy, oil, and energy, people will not start buying cars again until they are WAY more fuel efficient. Thus, new technology = new jobs = increasing economy = more cars sold = better economy = less fuel cost = more energy independence = better economy This should be a huge deal. My issues (ranked order): 1. Economy 2. Health Care 3. Affordable schooling for the future 4. Energy Independence (See above about cars) 55. The war 104033503035. Bill Ayers Do you see why I'm voting Obama?
more drama? fine, ya queen. hey you can take jabs at nearly everyone but I can't take a jab at you? just curious......why do you consider me to be a wingnut?
