Debate 1: Obama Debate 2: Obama because McCain didn't help himself at all. Debate 3: Damn good debate, Obama held his own and McCain showed some fire.
He could have been much more aggressive. He could have asked Obama what makes him "qualified" to determine why an unborn child should die. He could have brought up Obama's embarrassing "above my pay grade" gaffe.
You're kidding, right? I'm watching with 6 people- even my right-wing brother-in-law is sighing that McCain didn't win it.
McCain spazzing out shows the primary difference between Republicans and Democrats. Republicans like McCain get extremely emotional on certain topics. Democrats are more level-headed under stress and uses rational and reasoning.
I don't think that first one would have gone over well. the second one is an easy backhand for Obama.
Except that more than half the country is pro-choice. Abortion is a way to win over the GOP base - but McCain's already got that through Palin. He's not going to win the middle with an aggressive "pro-choice people are stupid" argument.
Touched a nerve huh He can't handle anyone disagreeing with him and appears to be a guy who can't handle much opposition
I thought it was clearly McCain's best debate. He stepped up his game. Unfortunately for him, so did Obama. It was also Obama's best debate. McCain won, but not by enough at this point in the game.
Republicans: My way or the high way. Abortion is against my religion so everybody should live by my rules. Patriotism! Look there's a terrorist! Kill him!
You're going to have to bring a lot more than that to touch a nerve. I just think it's ignorant to base something on his facial expression or whatever. If you want to differ on his opinion that's another thing.
