I thought the debate was incredibly boring: a rehash of talking points and stump speeches. Both these candidates are becoming less attractive by the minute. I am already inclined to select "none of the above."

Surely these guys realize that President is going to stand for "preside" over the biggest mess the country has ever seen. They are competing to become Herbert Hoover II.

I think a better question is, when Obama is president, will you and your ilk on this BBS still champion our troops efforts, economic gains, diplomatic breakthroughs, energy revolutions, health care reforms, and budgetary surpluses when it is no longer politically convenient for you to do so?

In other words.. will you become bitter, sulking malcontents that blame everything on Obama and disappear whenever it is time for credit to be given?

In fact.. I think you've almost already answered that question.

All the haters should move to France after Obama is elected on November 4th.

They are all comedians anyway, and France loves Jerry Lewis. Its a perfect fit.

    ;) :D

I can't argue with that...I was very disappointed with the debate last night...I was expecting someone to make me believe in them and that didn't happen...We're Focked...

this is such a strawman argument

jesus ain't running for president, never has, never will. these are ordinary men, if there was a magic solution to all the problems this country faces than it would have been implemented. I don't know what people who say things like this expect.

Well, unlike your "ilk", I've stated before in this forum if Obama wins I hope I'm proven wrong and he makes the world a better place like you guys think he can.

And, yes, I will always "champion our troops efforts". Got a problem with that?

Sulking malcontents? Look in the mirror, my firiend. You and your negative pals have written the book on that.

Maybe you should buy an island. Then you can create a new country.

    I'll name it for you:

Before I say anything else, I'm an Obama supporter and have been for a while now, but I must admit, he is disappointing me, and has been the past few weeks.

When we look at the debates, the townhalls, the speeches that he has given there really isn't much substance, and the same can be said of McCain. What happened to a time when people actually debated? The best example of this can be the amazing Lincoln-Douglass debates of 1858. Candidates are way too timid, and afraid to say anything really substantial which really isn't helpful at all.

We all know they are framing their answers to either:
    A) Tell us what we want to hear.
    B) Avoid the actual question, and use talking points.
    C) Make themselves look smart

I mean, come on, if anyone watched the debate last night, or even the last debate, it's all a bunch of canned stuff fluttering from their mouth, and I think that needs to change.

I want to hear the REAL Obama, and the REAL McCain.

The reason is because if you present a plan it will be disected and taken apart, doesn't matter who present the plan. There is no perfect plan out there, all plans involve one kind of problem or another. I trust Obama more than I trust Mccain at this point.

Let's be honest, everyone, Americans don't want to hear the truth. Americans want fluff and to be told the next president will ride in on his white horse and save the day.

The "truth" doesn't win elections. In fact, it does the exact opposite.

Yup. That's why politicians all lie because we like to hear lies.
