Not a Trump fan but I respect the office so I am giving him a chance. I am trying learn more about Steve Bannon but from everything I read its not good, but Trump is loyal to the folks who got him to this point, but that is certainly a red flag. Getting his children clearance doesn't seem to be a smart move if they are truly going to run his companies. Looks like he is backing off on quite a bit of campaign rhetoric which is good because so much seemed to be BS and unachievable. I will be interested to see how the first 30 days are after he moves in, then the fun begins. As an American I want to support the president but this one will be hard, but we have to try IMHO

Not totally alone. I'm not hoping for conservative justices, but I am agnostic about justices' politics so long as they have good experience and judgement. So long as he's picking from federal judges, we're probably safe.

To be fair, I was complaining about lifetime appointments before the election. It's stupid that one of the primary drivers of picking a president is who he'll give these appointments to. It's overpowered.

there are around 100 vacancies on federal courts and because Harry Reid killed the filibuster (idiot), Dems have no means of blocking any confirmations

People called it short sighted even then, now they are about to find out exactly how short sighted it really was

Stop reading msm. Considering how wrong and biased they covered the election, you'd think people would have figured it out by now.

They're running a hitpiece on Trump right now, hanging and extrapolating on any small tging he says... a week into being president... elect! Why don't we just watch, huh? Let's just watch.

I think presidential campaigns can indicate how an administration will operate.

I expect Trump's administration will have an extreme amount of dysfunction & infighting, especially if loyalists initially prevail over GOP insiders. At least the insiders have some grasp of reality.

It may take a couple of years to get there, but my guess is the party will eventually "hijack" Trump and the loyalists will be pushed aside.

I said "way back" that Trump was a life long liberal running as a Republican. Marco Rubio was right when he called him a con man, it's a totally accurate description actually. Now I'm not sure Hillary is more conservative than Trump, so I'll disagree there, but let's face it, Trump was Hillary's biggest supporter just a few years ago.

I agree. He just ousted Mike Rogers from his transition team for not towing the line enough. Historically, inexperienced Presidents rely a lot on their advisers. There's going to be a lot of push and pull, but I wouldn't be surprise if the GOP top tries pulling the strings through Preibus. It's going to be a messy ride.

They would not commit suicide by impeaching Trump - it would be devastating in 2018
