I'm free-flowin' with what I put below my post now, giddy. My signature stays the same, however. Did you suddenly develop an aversion to "a term limitless Congress" after the Democratic victory? ;)

We are closer to being like that now, than we were before.

No. I've always been in favor of term limits. I believe in the ebb-and-flow theory of politics or the swing pendumlum for health theory of politics.

i usually get ignored by bush supporters when pointing out the rampant hypocrisy in their thinking and actions.

but just incase giddy missed it, i ask again...why is it ok for bush to open our mail but it is no longer ok for the american people to know who is visiting the white house? why is it ok for bush to listen in on our phone conversations, but it is not ok for the american people to know who attended cheneys energy task force meetings, which formed OUR energy policy?

this is the most secretive administration we have ever had and also the most invasive.

why the double standard bush supporters?

does bush not want us to know about all the gay male hookers visiting the oval office?

"The Secret Service Records appear to show that Gannon spent many nights in the White House and visited the White House on several days during which no press conference or other press events were held.[1]ref No explanation for these highly unusual visits has yet been provided by Gannon, the Secret Service or the White House."

Because he can? So now we have a conspiracy between GWB and the Secret Service?

Politics is so viscious these days. What's wrong with covering your hiney from exageration wars? Are you sure that you wouldn't do it?

I know where this will go but I'll say it anyway: GWB is not the enemy; those whose mail is getting opened probably are the enemy.

One more thing and I know this for a fact: GWB is not getting copies of everything... remember he doesn't like to read.

I can get into the Kennedy and the Roswell conspiracies but these just lack the pizzazz...

I'm out. We are off to bury my wife's unlce in Greenville, SC in a little bit.

Ah, but what kind of enemy? Someone plotting to blow up a building or, perhaps, political enemies... someone who might release docs that embarass the administration or someone who is investigating governmant malfeasance? If you take Bush's signing statement at face value (and why should we not?) there are no checks and balances on this power and I don't understand how any American, much less conservative Americans, could be happy with something that is so antithetical to our country.

    My condolences regarding your uncle.

sorry for your family's loss man.

back on topic though, "because he can" is not a valid reason. nixon proved that theory to be quite wrong.

Really sorry about your wife's uncle, giddy. I'll pass on responding to "because he can?" until you're back amongst us.
