Previous winners: Yasser Arafat , Jimmy Carter, Al Gore I'm sure Obama is honored to be with such respected members of society
If you peruse the list of all the previous winners, your statement is probably correct, though you may not possess the intellectual capacity to understand why. http://nobelprize.org/
If any of you care to view something sad and pathetic, then go check out what all the southest texas fisherman think about Obama winning this award over at 2coolfishing.com http://2coolfishing.com/ttmbforum/showthread.php?t=237139 My god, I'm so thankful I don't live in Tx anymore.
He doesn't deserve this award. He hasn't accomplished anything to justify giving him the Nobel Peace Prize. Piedad Cordoba was a much more deserving candidate.
I did not read the thread. Always dangerous to comment w.o. doing so. My initial reaction is that I hope this encourages Obama to be a peacemaker and get out of Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama has definitely done some good things like defusing the military industrial complex oriented defense missile system on the borders with Russia which would have just spurred them and us to engage in another arms race. As is to be suspected militarists and GOP types tried to make a political issue of this, but it doesn't seem to have gained much traction.
I will say this. As am american who travels all over the world for my job, I can honetly say that the way other people viewed me and treated me when I told them I'm American changed significantly the day Obama was elected president - for the better.
My favorite one is this: the guy who wrote this is apparently a soap salesman from san antonio. Hey that's alliterative. So he's got that going for him.
Every conservative on my facebook is whining about Obama winning this ****, and every liberal on my facebook is whining even more about the conservative whining. And now I'm on clutchfans whining about the whiners.
