Good. Israel has needed to have its chain yanked for decades. Thank god we've finally got a President with the balls to do it.

Krauthammer is a very weak and foolish man. That’s been made abundantly clear over the last 15 years or so, but this is a good example as well. If you take the position that he’s being serious here, and not simply being manipulative, then what he is expressing is, in brief, an immature and morally irresponsible position. He’s like an immature child who does not want to take responsibility for what he’s done wrong. In this case he doesn’t want his country to take responsibility for what it’s done, and his thought processes are so immature that he doesn’t understand that the US gains a tremendous amount of strength and moral authority by being honest and responsible. His references to moral equivalence also show a very immature mentality and a fundamental misunderstanding of what was said in that speech. Obama was saying with respect to Iran that both sides have committed wrongs, and that both should acknowledge this and then move forward. No equivalency was mentioned or needed. Obama was taking a very Christian position, in fact. Krauthammer, otoh, sounds like a child in a schoolyard. “But, but, but, what Billy did was worse than what I did!” On women’s rights he again talks about moral equivalence when nothing of the sort was mentioned, implied, or even relevant to the point being made.

Unfortunately I find it hard to believe that he is genuinely as immature and naive as the character he plays, and like Basso I suspect his act is really intended to trick and manipulate susceptible members of the general public.

Exactly. Some of these individuals i.e late William F. Buckley are quite intelligent yet for some obscure reason (indoctrinated, misplaced sense of religious duty vs. advocating specific foreign policy, enjoy creating confusion and distorting the 'truth', misc. insecurities, etc.) say stuff like the above.

I called out a kid couple months back on this very issue (he was playing the neoconservative staunchly advocating Israel being allowed to use nuclear weapons against its opponents during a get-together) since I knew his true beliefs were the exact opposite and he simply pretended just to provoke naive people into a fight.
