During his stay in Cairo, Egypt, where he gave his longest and arguably most anticipated speech yet, President Obama indulged in some tourism, visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza, which he labeled "awe-inspiring". Obama described the tour as the best off the record (OTR) experience of his presidency so far -- The president's brief stay in Cairo included a visit to the Sultan Hassan mosque, a 600-year-old center of Islamic worship and study. He also toured the Great Pyramids of Giza, and joked with reporters that if they were not present, "I'd get on a camel." Some of his aides did just that. At one point during the tour, Obama is reported to have spotted a hieroglyphic of a large-eared man, spurring the remark, ""That looks like me!" I don't think he is selling out Israel at all. The reality is that Israel has to give up on building the settlements, that's part of the peace process that has predated Obama. I agree with that it was a mistake for Obama to bow down to any king. Obama must remember he represents the leader of the United States and he is equal to any head of state. I disagree with you on the holding hands things. Who the heck cares? But I do sense that you are finding reasons to mock Obama and such....I mean, give the guy a chance man.
Why the hell is Obama over there apologizing when most of the 9/11 terrorists were from countries in that region? Why the hell aren't they the ones crawling back to us begging for forgiveness?
This is the problem - it's this kind of attitude. You expect them to see America as good when America lumps a billion people in with the 9/11 terrorists. What you are writing reflects an almost xenophobic attitude. Their gov'ts were not involved in 9/11. Not a single one of their gov'ts. It was the Taliban and Al Qaeda which does not represent the Muslim or Arabic world....or a single Muslim or Arabic country! Yet you ask them to apologize for 9/11. Our gov't has done wrong there. Not vice versa. If you don't comprehend this, I just think you'll never understand.
