I agree. I think it will do him some good I really feel he had some jitters, and this could help reset.
Just like Watson in his rookie year CJ held the ball too long, its a rookie mistake, trying to do everything in every play
Dell and the defensive depth has stood out. DL is surprisingly deep, I thought Dell was more quick than fast, but he’s also very fast
That’s going to be the best defense in the division. If the offense can just be a tad bit above average look out
It's not pulling the plug but if one QB is clearly looking better you have to play who you think gives you the best chance to win week 1. Period. The way a rookie starts over whats now a veteran in Mills is by being dynamic and if CJ doesn't flash special potential I really do think they should start Mills. Building a winning culture is about having no favoritism. Who earns the starting spot gets it and so far, if week 1 was next week, that answer is clearly Mills.
I agree with you but to me that is a massive failure for Caserio after drafting Stroud 2nd and paying a kings ransom to move up to get Will Anderson. Mills beating out Stroud would be AWFUL. Should have just drafted Anderson at 2 and tanked again for Caleb if Stroud can't beat out Mills.
Agree. Actually, I would have started Mills and had Stroud come in at the half but then I'm not a koolaid drinker.
I don't agree with tanking in the NFL a lot (I mean, not starting the season with the goal to lose), just too much of a wildcard, but of course yeah if CJ is a bust that obviously sucks. I will say even if he struggles this year I'd hold off on the bust talk. Right now I was just more impressed with how Mills looked, really did little wrong when he was in there so I hope the coaching staff is at least giving him a real shot at starting and this isn't just a start the guy because you drafted him #2 thing.
