    I hear ya DT!

I'll be gettin' my "Kapaya On" next week.

As far as suprise players in the preaseason, Im going to go with Maurice Taylor, who will suprise us with a killer stroke from the outside, and Nachbar, who will suprise us with unrelenting, ferocious slashes to the hoop.

Verse :- The words you use, your language, can be a good indication of some of the following:- It can indicate the quality of your upbringing, the strong(or otherwise) influence of Parents, Syblings and Friends. It can indicate the level of people you socialise with, even people one admires. It can indicate positives and negatives in ones education, such as a poor vocabulary, which may cause one to talk down in your posts, instead of an uplifting level of vocabulary. Most of the objectional words have much stronger words for their replacement, which are more acceptable by all levels of our Society. It just takes a little longer to find a suitable word or phrase to indicate ones emotional thaught.

everything you said was correct. those are facts which i cannot dispute. i must say, however, that they is a lot to be said for one that can master all types of dialects and know when it is best to use each type.

i've written for years and had dozens upon dozens of debates on this topic with various professors, fellow orators, etc. while most agreed with me, there were those who couldn't understand why i chose to write "F*ck You" as opposed to: "you churn the bowels of my soul." sometimes "f*ck you" has the intended affect of showing what you feel.

perfect example is frida kahlo (my idol). frida's writing style was eloquent, intelligent, yet sprinkled with the occasional "he was a pion, with a 'p' as in 'p***y'". that's a paraphrased example, but not far off at all. no word would have captured the disgust for the pion as succinctly and distinctively in the "kahlo way" as "pion" and there was no more appropriate or symbolic way for her to pronounce it than to accentuate the "p" with a word truly seen as vile by most people - "p***y".

i'm going off on a tangent right now, and truly derailing this thread, so i'll cut myself off now. but feel free to email me at traceywjones@hotmail.com.

    That's hilarious verse:D

I'm glad to see you and I see this topic through the same eyes. You seem like a very intelligent person, and your intelligence is relayed well through your writings. I would like one of us to start up a thread in the Hangout so we can keep this one on point...make it one about writings. Has that happened here before? A thread for members to post their creative writing? I would love to read some of yours.
