Well you were laughing and I was cringing. It's come to this, ok, I'll say it here. I still believe Boki has a lot to offer. I'm not counting him out yet, haven't jumped off the bandwagon yet. Am I speaking with my mind or emotions, either way I said it loud and clear. Boki will be in our rotation before his contract is up. lol (he had a nice scrimmage btw hehe) Now mooch, he's funny! Lack of effort on a select few of the players from time to time, but not the whole team.
The development of Team Chemistry is very important and has been lacking in the Rockets play.Without this team chemistry how will JVG install his defencive scheme and the offence to play the inside outside inside game ?
No one should be taking these games seriously at all. After all, they are in an adjustment period to a new coach and his system. What folks should be looking for is demonstrable improvement in their level of play compared to last year. For example: Does SF still continually drive into the teeth of a zone defense only to end playing one-on-three and turning over the ball? Does CM finally participate in the offense by running plays and not constantly dribbling the ball running down the clock in the process? Does MT make an occasional guest appearance playing perimeter defense? (Ooops! we don't know as he's hurt AGAIN...) Has EG pulled his head out of his a** and started to produce tangible results on the court? Has Boki stepped up proved that he belongs on the court with NBA caliber talent? (We all know that he has serious problems playing aaginst Summer League caliber talent) Did Cato actually develop an offensive move besides the alley-oop dunk? As you can see, these guys have so many questions to answer that to concentrate on wins & losses at this point would be a wasted exercise. They have a long way to go before they can even consider themselves competative with the other teams in their divison.
All right. We're losing by 13 now. I'm getting a bit concerned... Well we're doing okay. Just preseason!
"It's just pre-season man! Preason! I mean, we're talking about preseason!" Heh...heh... No really. I can't see the games. But the only thing I'm concerned about is "effort" on defense. Seems like JVG is willing to lose these preseason games in order to get the team to learn his new system.
