I hope we keep both strawberry and wafer. Wafer could be tmacs backup. Strawberry is more valuable though, he understands the game more and defends and attacks better. Head and Harris should be cut.
There's no way we're cutting Francis just because of a preseason game. There's no doubt Stevie has more game than Wafer and Strawberry, and although they both were great today, you can't make a decision like that because of 1 preseason game. I see how we might not need Harris, and I think either Wafer or DJ's gotta go. Hard choice, but I think we already have enough great spot-up shooters: i.e. Shane, Barry, Ron, Rafer, Aaron, the list goes on. So we already have shooters that can perform well behind the 3-point line, and seeing the talent that DJ and Wafer possess, a lot of other NBA teams need those type of players, and after a few of these games, they may look a bit more valuable. In my opinion, if we were to choose between the 2, DJ would probably be the better choice because of his better overall game.
Aaron Brooks! That's how you get your assists. Instead of forcing the passes like he was doing earlier this preaseason, he got his offensive game going first. Once you get your offense going, you demand attention. And if you demand attention, you get opportunities to kick it out. Von Wafer! I'll take him over Mike Harris. Mike harris is a good player, but he does too much of the same things Scola, Landry, and Hayes do. A redundant player and a non-guaranteed contract. DJ Strawberry...I'm leaning toward cutting Luther Head for this guy. He has the same skills, except DJ is much better defensively. If his shot stinks, so what? You're not losing much compared to if you kept Luther. The competition between Strawberry and Wafer has turned into Wafer/Strawberry vs Harris/Head

And i got to say, dorsey is huge on the boards today. 5 offensive boards Lol, looks like head got some very stiff competition as the 3p gunner. Barry, we know what he could do, DJ showing some nice shooting today and of cause wafer who is just money on the 3p line. Heck even rafer alston join the fun by making 3-5 3p.

With the amount of double teams mcgrady pulls, wafer would get open looks all night long. he will be even better with tracy playing.

The problem with cutting Francis is that he makes 2 million this year , if we cut that no way we will be able to get rid of it near the deadline and when you cut Francis and add more guys you add more salary that Les doesn't want. I believe Wafer's contract is not guranteed untill january , meaning we can cut him until january and not pay him the full year. Sign Strawberry to a similar deal , try to get rid of Head for a trade exception before january and if you can't just cut both Wafer and Strawberry.
Yeah, If Wafer develops into a J.R. Smith calibur type player as well, then we will have struck gold. And if he shows better shot selection than him (which i have a hinting feeling he does, but not by much), my desktop will be draped with a portrait of Daryl Morey.
