For some strange reason, nearly 20 Kansas State basketball games were on local TV in Houston last season. Various channels. I saw a lot of Beasley and Walker. Walker is very gifted and could be an impact player in the NBA, but he has some serious attitude and focus problems (in addition to his knee issues). Even if his knee stays healthy, I'm convinced Walker is going to flame & burn in the NBA. The guy is unstable and will have difficulty staying out of trouble. KG or someone else on the Celtics needs to take him aside, bust him in the chops and explain that lack of discipline kills NBA careers. It's good to be competitive and fiery but Walker has some issues.
I'm not sure if KG is the right person for that. He has troubles keeping his emotions contained as well. If anyone, it will have to be Ray Allen or the coaches.
I disagree. The most common formula for winning a championship is having a good 2-3 threat and a good 4-5 threat. The Spurs won titles using that formula (they had the good PG also but Ginobli and Duncan were their two best players for a majority of thier title run). The Lakers won titles that way, as did the Bulls, Heat, etc. Meanwhile great PGs like AI, Kidd, Nash, BD, are titleless. The Pistons are really the last team with a HOF PG to win a title.
Leave Walker alone, people. He's just trying to earn some Tommy Points before his ass gets glued to the bench once the regular season starts and it's all vets all the time for Doc Rivers. You know, after watching this video, I am convinced Ron's agent should pay the normally mild-mannered Yao, McGrady and Battier to start some scuffles so that Ron can play peace maker. This will lead to an immediate improvement of Ron's repuaton and increase in his market value.
Bulls - BJ Armstrong Rockets - Sam Cassell, Jet Bulls - Ron Harper (even though he really didn't handle the ball). Spurs - Avery Johnson Lakers - Derek Fisher Spurs - Tony Parker Pistons - Chauncey Billups Celtics - Rajon Rondo Yeah, you don't need an all world PG to win a NBA championship, I think having at least one or two great wing players, a deep roster, or a great big man should be good enough. The Rockets are fine. They just need to stay healthy and at least make it to playoffs.
Ok,I can Post a reply, thanks god,LOL~~~ I'm a layman, and my English is poor, : ) I watch the BIG 3 of Celtic VS BEST 3 of Houston ( Big=Yao Best=T-mac beast=R.A)~~~~~ it's make me cracy, just like the playoff-style game~~~~ T-mac is proofing himsel is a really WARRIOR.Yao is good enough but still recover for his injure.R.A show us the beast power~~~ That all make me looking forward to the New Season of NBA, Hope ROCKETS can break the da-mn-ing first-round curse~~~and win the final champion~~~ PS: hope T-mac can win the VIP,and my dear Yao can play a whole-healthy season and get 20-10 double-double.......and R.A can punch down the SH-IT "斯塔德迈尔"~~~~~LOL,just for kidding~~~~ finnally~~~GOGO ROCKETS GO~~~~~~~~~~~~ I will always SUPPORTING you~~~~(in SHANGHAI)~~~~~(Y-_-Y)
mcgrady's hard hit on the rookie was the most impressive thing of this game for me. a rarity that i hope to see a bit more often. and is it just me or is it rafer's sense of humor? from the chronicle - Rafer Alston, still wearing a look of shock, said, "Well, I guess we know his shoulder's OK."
I teach the T-MAC KONGFU~~LOL This hard hit T-mac award to the poor rookie of Celtic is named "影虎冲击" in China's SHAO LIN KONGFU,Literally meaning "Dash of Shadow Tiger"!!!!! what amazing T-mac dare to use this vital-deadly-baned Kongfu to a NORMAL person!!! you konw it could crash a SHARK easily~~~ POOR ROOKIE......He will be dead due to this hit in the 1.1.2098 D.c........God bless him~~~
Walker is a punk. He has no place in the nba. Hes like a loose cannon trying to start trouble with any one he sees.
At least we know Mcgrady's shoulder seems to be doing fine. It didn't bother him when he laid out the scrub.
Don't thank me, I didn't so it. I believe that is Clutch's youtube channel. since I havent posted a thread for them, check here for the list of torrents done so far
Here's what happen I think even before the game started. Celtics is having that mentality that they are the defending Champ, and they are the winning team and no one can stop them again. The celtics sees Rockets as one of the biggest challenges from the west, therefore they want to set the tone now. They don't get to meet each that often from a team in east with west. Rockets sees Celtics as the measuring stick and trying to prove something, hence why "no pre-season for me mcgrady" played. This game was or better than some of the playoffs games. I will say this is better than Celtic vs Lakers last season. If we can get this kind of games in the finals. you canl pretty much guarantee commit stern will have his ways. This is TV rating heaven. 2009 Rockets vs Celtics, stern get it done. The refs kind of let it play out a bit, not sure by design or inexperience of them.
