It was a nice showcase of his potential, but he still has a long way to go. I wouldn't want him starting games until he's had one full year holding a clipboard.
The first string defense, first string O line, 2nd and 3rd string RB's, 2nd and 3rd (especially 3rd) string QB's, and our special teams all looked decent to good. First string QB, and O line and D line depth pretty much everywhere else with few exceptions looked like crap.
The Keenum lovefest is ridiculous. The dude is trash, wouldn't surprise me at all to see him cut next week.
I think we just found our back-up. Savage goes up the depth chart. We still need to get a vet QB, I think, to cover when Fitz struggles and Savage gets dinged up.
Of course, he's nowhere near ready now but I'm impressed with his improvement thusfar. II'm still for drafting a qb first next year but I'm intrigued to see what Billy O'Brien can do with him after working with him everyday for a year.
I think the Broncos let up, since we hadn't scored in 1-1/2 quarters. But Savage looked confident and made the quick decisions. Something Case needs to learn up to now.
Man where did this Labhart guy come from?? Oh yeah, another Texas school with sure-handed white slot receivers. Welker 2.0
