we play better v. the better teams. outside of the lakers blowout loss, i don't remember us playing poorly v. gret teams.

it's the losses to the bad teams that are killing us (spurs when shorthanded, pacers, clips, blazers...)

Wait till Battier's 100% then we will see how good is our defense. And don't forget Artest is playing with 1 ankle.

Some truth. I like HOW they've been winning recently. The offense looks MUCH more fluid and the defense consistently is locking teams down in the 4th quarter. GOOD SIGNS.

Any team can beat any time on a given night. Good teams have to win games against weaker teams ...and that's what they've been doing. But yea, now that we have our big 3 online, I wanna see some big wins too.

I feel that there has been some improvement in offensive execution and some improvement in defense, however it's inconsistent. We gave up 31 points in the 1st quarter against the Kings and 32 in the 1st quarter against the Wolves who were missing Mike Miller.

Rebounding is an issue as well. This 4 game stretch will really test us.

Our point differential against playoff teams is +1.92, solidly in the positive.

The Spurs and the Jazz have had similarly easy schedules and their rash of injuries is similar to ours. Their records are worse and their point differential is much worse. (+3.24 for the Jazz and +2.73 for the Spurs as compared to +4.11 for the Rockets.)

The Rockets have not had all their important players healthy for one game this season. (Rafer, Battier, McGrady, Scola, Yao, Artest).

Of that group of players, the Rockets have lost them for 32 games combined. This is not counting the games lost to injury by significant members of the rotation (ex: Von Wafer/Brent Barry etc. etc.)

    Prepare to be surprised?

I thought this was pretty much common knowledge that we hit quite a few 3's and are an elite FT shooting team

The Rox defense is pretty good.
If their offense was was clicking they'd be blowing out their opponents.
Just give them a little more time. Their going to kick @$$. :D

Rockets are winning because they are playing JVG style game.

Alot of it has to do with getting Yao the ball deep in the paint and Mcgrady going to the basket more and making his FTs...

Yao and Tracy still gettin it done.
