This would be unbelievable. This is 9"-10" (or more) of rain in Houston by 5am tomorrow morning. This would flood a lot of roads.
Every time they say this it rains for like 20 minutes in one spot and then it's sunny and 90. I'm hoping for more fail just to read the comments on click2houston
It's been a bit slow to develop and rainfall amounts have been lowered a little for our local area. Most of the worst has been to our north and west but it seems like it has begun for us now. Hopefully we don't dumped on too badly overnight.
No problems here in midtown. Drive to work was easy. Looks like this whole thing was blown out of proportion
No kidding.. This is like the 4th or 5th time in a row they have been like.. Errr My Gaawddd it gonna flood, y'all......then it barely rains. Granted it isn't over yet, but if they keep this up, people stop believing them, and when the real deal shows, up people won't be prepared for it.
Well it appears the models were way to aggressive with the movement of the low pressure. It is still digging into Mexico.. None of the models had this thing still digging south today... Storms are starting to fire off near Corpus and move this way.. Seems like the models were about a day early with this. It is far from over... Pay attention to everything going on to the SW of our area. Severe T'storm watches have just been issued for our SW counties as well
It's ok. Ziggy is still dealing with trying to get his mom out of the psychiatric facility after shutting down 290 the other day. He's had a rough week.
The Weather Prediction Center just put this out for parts of SE Texas... ACROSS THESE AREAS THERE IS A HIGH LIKELIHOOD OF TRAINING OF CELLS...PRODUCING SHORT TERM PRECIP TOTALS OF 2"+ IN AN HOUR AND TOTALS THIS PERIOD IN THE 5-10"+ RANGE.
