Keeping the baby would be so wrong, it is not even funny. We went out for 2 months, broke up with her last month, she calls me 5 days ago telling me she thinks shes pregnant. Plus our relationship was built on lies so this is wrong on so many accounts.

i don't mean to sound so non-chalant about this, being as that i'm pro-choice, it's better to pay $500 for an abortion (if you can convince), then child support for the next 18 years.

lol, should have wrapped it dude.

I have two kids, and wouldn't trade them, or my wife, for anything, but if you want to get some information, and it appears you do, go to Planned Parenthood. Look in the phone book or look them up online.

And remember... you are just as responsible as she is, regardless of what happened, or what the two of you do.

Considering your relationship was 'built on lies', as you said, could there be a small chance the baby is someone else's? In either case you better get involved now and figure out what the next step is. I think a doctor visit should be the first.

I have a friend who work at planned parenthood.

Up to 13 weeks it's gonna cost you about $300 for a medication abortion. About $400 for a surgical abortion. After 13 weeks the price doubles and the places that perform the operation become scarce.

Should you decide to go the abortion route call planned parenthood.

I'm going to post something that many people will consider awfully ****ty, but I don't care.

I'm not a big fan of the fact that abortion is something that is allowed under the guise of "pro choice." This "choice" is completely at the woman's discretion while the father has no legal input in the decision. If the woman uses her "choice" to have the baby, she can then sue for paternity and the courts can hold the father liable for the costs of blood testing, medical expenses for the birth of the child, and child support. Women have their cake, and they get to eat it too. In the world of family law, they already get enough breaks. I'm not saying that women have it easier than men in all aspects of life, but in the area of family law, it is usually the men getting screwed......not the women.

I think you should roll the dice and leave the decision up to her. Tell her that you wrapped your willy every time and that you don't think you are the father. Tell her she can have the baby if she wants, but that she'll need to sue for paternity. If paternity results show you are the father, you'll sue for joint custody. I mean, why not........at that point, you'll know the child is your "flesh and blood," and you'll be paying for the child's upbringing anyway............might as well try and be a father--the child will need one. If what you are saying is true (and I've know a LOT of crazy-ass women.....not that there isn't crazy ass men out there), she might not even be pregnant...........or she might be and know that the real father is worthless.

Put the impetus on her. I'm not a big fan of abortion. Liberals talk about "pro choice." Liberals usually educate themselves, and if this is the best argument they can come up with to terminate a pregnancy...........well..........perhaps they should stick to stopping the war in Iraq. Bible thumpers talk about how abortion is murder, yet they never seem to have a problem with the death penalty. Nobody ever seems to talk about the ramifications of making such a decision. I've known too many people who have made the decision to have an abortion and have regretted it their whole lives. It REALLY is hard to make that decision and NOT think you are a killer. On the other hand, bringing a baby into this world when you just aren't mentally capable can ruin not one, but two or three lives.

Let her make that decision. I know it sounds ****ty..........and it is..........but this may not be your child. And there might not even be a child. If there is a child.........and it is yours, I'm pretty sure you guys will be a bit more mature when that child is born and paternity is proven.

That's a hard, cold, cynical look at your situation, but if you accept the responsibility for a child that isn't yours............your life could turn to **** before you really even got a running start.

planned parenthood, plan b pills run around $70 last time i used it... never thought i'd need the services of that place.

another option, perhaps not legal without her consent - angelica. it's an essential oil which had been used for thousands of years until modern day methods came about. i think a bottle of it runs about $20.

armyman, did you break up with her... or vice versa?

Next question: did you see the pregnancy test results in person?

Sorry, but the "lies" comment is lingering.

If she's being honest about the test results, yeah, she is pregnant by somebody.

Pole, amazing post. Sometimes, people just let it hang out and are honest and themselves. Not that I ever do that, but I appreciated that post, just as a human to human sort of thing.
