That's sad. It's good that they are helping those kids that have to balance motherhood and trying to educate themselves at the same time, but I don't know that I agree with having a day care in the high school.
What's interesting is how (at least in CFISD) you can take Early Childhood classes where HS kids learn to teach the children that their classmates are popping out.
I think this song is fitting for this thread especially since this might be the fate of many of the kids of these teenage moms. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Nf-Y3yG8N_Q&hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Nf-Y3yG8N_Q&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
No.... The compounding fact here is that the guy was homeless. Many homeless are mentally ill...some use drugs...and generally they aren't really up on being clean. This is all in addition to the fact that he isn't going to be able to provide financial or emotional support for his offspring. Also a factor is that this teenage girl had sex with the first willing guy she found, literally, on the street so she could get pregnant. It's just creepy.
Yeah, I was wondering that, given a lot of fashion trends with today's youth, particularly their greasy mop hair.
Yes, more creepy than mustard on a shirt -- I'll give you that. But I'm not sure a 15-yr-old boy is going to be much more helpful. I suppose the boy's family could at least be helpful. I also wouldn't believe the pregnant girl about the homeless guy just yet. It seems like the most shocking thing she could say, without any proof.
The 15 year old high school student is less likely to be diseased, mentally ill, and is more likely to be employable long term. It is a good point about whether or not the girl is telling the truth. The DA in that county will get the answer to that once the judge orders paternity testing as a part of the statutory rape prosecution.
