Pure prejudice. I mean, it isn't like homeless men are unemplo....Well, at least she it doesn't mean the girl was seeking out ANYONE to knock her u....well at least there will be good fatherly role mod...I give up. Oh well, at least he can provide shelter.
Imagine if they all came to you and all got pregnent, do you know how much child support you have to pay in your life time? And these are girls most likely to not even graduate from high school, so they won't be making a decent living. It is a good thing the father is a homeless guy, he doesn't have to worry about child support.
No, I get it. But it's like here's the tragedy of teen pregnancy magnified, and here's the fact that statutory rape was involved... and then... the guy at the podium hangs his head and says "but wait, it's worse." I think the homeless guy angle is the least of the problems here. It would be like, "My friend was shot this weekend, and he died. But what really sucks is, he was eating a hotdog at the time of the shooting and he got mustard on his best shirt. I wanted that shirt!" Huh?
Not if you're a guy and you don't give a crap about your child which is why you're in that situation in the first place.
I've been to smaller towns than that, in rural east texas, and there are homeless people begging at the highway exits. I believe it's a national issue, not confined to cities.
That poor homeless guy is getting taken advantage of....he is already down on his luck, and probably drunk and these hawt young 16-17 year old vixens come and make him take down his drawers... That poor guy. DD
[rquoter]The girls who made the pregnancy pact — some of whom, according to Sullivan, reacted to the news that they were expecting with high fives and plans for baby showers — declined to be interviewed. So did their parents. But Amanda Ireland, who graduated from Gloucester High on June 8, thinks she knows why these girls wanted to get pregnant. Ireland, 18, gave birth her freshman year and says some of her now pregnant schoolmates regularly approached her in the hall, remarking how lucky she was to have a baby. "They're so excited to finally have someone to love them unconditionally," Ireland says. "I try to explain it's hard to feel loved when an infant is screaming to be fed at 3 a.m."[/rquoter] I found this to be the most disturbing part. What is wrong with these teenagers that they have determined the only way they can feel loved is to get pregnant? What the heck is wrong with the society they live in?
IBTMTDD - IN BEFORE THE MOVE TO D&D I sometimes wonder if the younger girls think that having a baby would be ok JUST BECAUSE there is a daycare on-site as opposed to having to pay for it themselves... what if the school said: "We don't have a daycare center... ya'll best not get pregnant, young ladies! " <- it would be a deterrent, no? He does have homes in many places, but no home in the state of Massachusetts. Hence the definition of homeless... but not 24.. dang.
I lived in Orange for a while, and saw homeless people all the time. Probably a higher percentage than any place I've been except San Francisco.
Maybe not, but to a homeless guy they are proably smoking, and anything in 20ish year old skin is about as hawt as they are going to get in their lifetime. DD
What high schools have day care? I don't think there is one high school in our area that has day care.
^ Oh, there are ^ plenty. I don't know about OHIO, but in Houston there is a high school named "Kay" for only pregnant ladies. I don't know if THAT ONE has a daycare, though. I Googled "High School" +Daycare and got hundreds of results... I know they're not all true hits, but check it: http://www.tufts.edu/cfn/family-storystarter/fs-malden.shtml http://www.wnyc.org/news/articles/39194 http://www.gallupindependent.com/2007/march/030607ehb_dycrdntns.html
