Dude, you are too much. I've been reading this forum for a while now in lurker mode, and your post, chock filled with ridiculous "righteous indignation," finally made me break my silence. Do you know just how foolish you sound to everyone else, even those who don't actively participate in this forum? Do you know how hypocritical the above statement is? Let's look at the feces you've thrown against the wall in the past few months. A quick, 5-minute search of this forum reveals threads ranging in topics from those equating Obama to Hitler to Hillary's lesbian affair to slights about Obama legitimizing Hezbollah and Hamas based on pure semantics. And yet now YOU'RE outraged? Man, this is just too much. Maybe Sam is right: You ARE melting down. /lurker mode back on
undeniable? please, the Times is using unnamed and unverified sourcesin an attempt to discredit the vetting process. it's lies, tom vilsak's comments as well.
Like you said, war of attrition. I predict 2-3 more threads from basso at days end to try to hold back the avalanche and squelch the withdrawal talk.
I empathize with you basso. It really makes me question McCain's judgment that he would make such a risky choice without fully vetting or rationally considering the implications of his selection. I'm not even a McCain supporter and I feel bad for this implosion-producing selection, it must sting even more for McCain supporters.
Multiple sources (Times, ABC news etc) have confirmed that McCain has just recently deployed a team to ALaska to check up on Palin (no earlier than thursday - the same day he picked her!!). Does this sound like a team that had done its homework to you? There are direct quotes from people in Alaska saying they never had any contact with her people. And more embarrassing news keeps trickling out, like the Alaska Secessionist thing, or the potential time bomb of the state trooper report -being released in October - which the McCain campaign has been totally caught pants-down by. But in your universe - this is the way things are supposed to have gone according to the grand plan....right.
That McCain dropped the ball and didn't do his homework. Why else send an investigative team after the investigation?. You know what the answer is.
Been thinking the same. The right will eat their own. Social conservative deep down are burning up with this whole VP prego teeage daughter thing. They likely see this as a colossal failure by all parties (parents, daughter and boy friend). As an non-partisan Independent, I openly question Palin's own judgment of joining the ticket. She must have known that her daughter would be put through the wringer. To put one's own personal ambitions so shameless above the health of one's family calls into question her character and judgment.
While I appreciate the thought, these automatic sound embeds cause a problem for some of us at work. I'd prefer we don't do that. Thanks.
