I'm as excited as the next guy about the potential of Eddie, but the one thing you see alot with these young rookies is they really have to take some time to adjust to the speed of the NBA. Eddie might get one highlight film block if he was playing KG a lot, but for the most part he would get schooled like crazy this young in his NBA career.
Kenny shouldn't have any problems keeping Garnett from getting close to the basket (Garnett is not as quick as him), but if his jumper is on, then all we can do is pray. It will be interesting to see how Kenny uses his quickness regarding position defense before Garnett has the ball in his hands. BTW, am I the only one that thinks Rudy will match Kenny up with him as opposed to Rice? I've seen people suggesting we use a Willis/Cato combo against the Wolves, but Willis has a tendency to concede the middle to his man, and rather try and contest the shot. This may work against the likes of Brand, but that IS one of Garnett's shots (the baby hook in the middle of the lane) and it would kill us. Match him up with Woods or Smith if you use that combo. If the Rockets can double team and rotate effectively off of Garnett, then Griffin should see a good number of minutes (15-20 or so). His length could be put to good use by contesting Garnett's jumper. Mobley should not help defensively. Peeler and Szcerbiak give that team a big boost when they're hitting their outside shots. Given the relative smallness of our team, they might even start Peeler. Cuttino's on the ball defense is stifling though, and I see no reason why he couldn't hold either to around 10 points or less. The key to the game isn't stopping Garnett; It's stopping Brandon. When he isn't playing well, the wolves are a bad team.
