We're going to win 9 (nine) or more with or without CARR, b*tches. F*ck that "one guy makes or breaks the team" mentality. Ya'll know this whole TEXANS thing is a team, right?
LMAO calm down dude. If you going to get upset everytime Carr is bashed on here then you going to be angry for about another 5 years
Whether it was CARR or WILLIAMS or even KUBIAK, Lil Francis, I seriously hate ANY type of bashing of any of our own. I'm calm... I'm calm... WTH M I talking about... I am explaining this to someone already bashing one of our own in his signature...
I agree. The Texans have to find a way to market any spare parts possible and try to stockpile some draft picks. I dont see us improving appreciably if we go plunging big time into the FA pool. I see Adalius Thomas and Nate Clements as good pickups, but one they are going to cost some coin to get and two, injuries the longer a player has played the more prone he is to potentially getting injured and then you are back at square one. Thus, we need to stockpile drafts and build some REAL depth on this team. What should have been done from day one with this franchise but I guess that would have made too much sense. Face it our second and third team players mostly SUCK as well as some of our first teamers. Say hello to an overhaul of at least half the roster perhaps more IMHO. Exorcise the last of C&C's idiot demons. Kuby and Smitty are going to do what it takes to get us better, but how much better is the question of the day.
I just picked a bad booger, why not put THAT into your sig? Seriously, man, you like kicking people while they're down, huh?
So, make your prediction on the five-year extension of our Carr-bashing contract: 1) 1 year on the roster, 4 years of post-Carr bitterness 2) 2 years on the roster, 3 years of post-Carr bitterness (pCb) 3) 3 years on the roster, 2 years pCb 4) 4 years on the roster, 1 year pCb 5) Carr's toast this summer, 5 years pCb Which one do you think? Do you think we'll be sitting on our front porches gumming cigars one day in our seventies, still moaning about DCarr?
he cost us the first tennessee game; had he been even mediocre that day, the texans would have likely won. i'll give you new england, as well, though, hard to imagine the team winning that game, regardless of carr. still, there ya go - two games. so you still feel comfortable that with carr, they'll actually regress a game next year (6 to 5 wins), and without him, his mere absence is worth 5 wins? come on...
Carr is what he is ... He is a serviceable QB with potential only hinged on an OL that is wall of granite and a solid RB, he does not and maybe cannot make improv plays! He does not lead well, and he has no pocket presence. He left plays on the field alot. Why did we bring in Moulds? He largely was a forgotten man. Because, Carr has lost confidence in any semblance to be able to lead and make a difference on the football field. Even though the D was largely awful the first three to four weeks, Carr after opening TD drives against Philly and Washington, largely did nothing. The D somewhat would have benefited if the offense plays less offensively. So somewhat at least Carr is responsible for those. The Texans needed him to lead and make plays and surprise, he didnt. The Dallas game he spearheads a collapse in the third quarter in a tight defensive battle and basically hands the Pokes the game with his ineptitude. 3 consecutive turnovers on 3 consecutive drives equals disaster. So that one is ALSO on Carr. The first Tenn game, complete meltdown in the first half. He was a complete joke. The second Tenn game, he managed the game but, made no difference making plays. Example, the Texans have a chance possession with :50 something seconds left and they opt to down the ball and not even attempt an opportunity for a closing FG. Why because Carr had demonstrated a penchant for late half turnovers changing the course of a game. Furthermore, when the Texans had a chance to go for the TD, they opted to play for the tie with the FG and take their chances with OT and we all know what happened next. The NE game, if it's possible to say was perhaps Carr's worst game ever with an honorable mention his second game vs San Diego as he was sacked a mere 9 times and I dont think he was even close to 100 yds passing. Now with just to highlight with Carr being your QB, how many of these games does he win? Better question does he lose if Kuby gives him the opportunity? Home: Denver, KC, New Orleans, Tampa Bay Away: Carolina, San Diego, Atlanta, Cincy With Carr 2-6 maybe 3-5 at best. Without Carr 5-3 maybe 6-2. The only teams I pencil as definite losses could potentially be New Orleans and San Diego, ironically could be our Super Bowl representatives. Sorry to burst peoples bubbles, but if you give him a solid OL and sledgehammer RB and this Defense next year upgrades to the elite, this team is STILL not a legitimate playoff contender! Based on the aforementioned points, how can you argue that Carr doesnt potentially regress and yes, create another non-competitive season where at best we are 8-8 to 9-7. How many fans here are gonna love that scenario much less tolerate while, Tennessee potentially is competing for the division title? Here's another reason, how much longer do you expect AJ to be happy with 4 and 5 yd hitches and get 100+ reception and barely exceed 1000 yds and few TD catches? Carr is done IMO. RIP Ocho Stinko!
Home: Denver, KC, New Orleans, Tampa Bay Away: Carolina, San Diego, Atlanta, Cincy holy crap...that's our out of division schedule next year?? i'll reserve my opinion until i see what happens in the draft and free agency...but i'm not real pleased with that schedule.
I'm sorry, but it's just not that simple to project. What you're saying, I'll freely re-interpret, is "without Carr's mistakes 5-3 maybe 6-2". The problem is, another QB will: --make different (but often less game-shaking) mistakes --effect every other area of the offense--and that not just for the better The dynamics of the whole situation change too much; there are far too many variables to say, "without Carr we win 4 more games than with". ....and this coming from a guy who's ready to see Carr move on.
but could another QB WIN you some games?? could he take control and win you some games that DC couldn't??? at best, when we talk about DC it's, "can he keep us from losing...can he manage it." man, for his contract and the commitment the texans have made to that guy as a man unchallenged for his job for 5 years, that's just not good enough.
