Probably Yao cause Yao is playing in an era where they changed the rules to work against the big man. He would be even more dominant with the old rules.

Ooh, that's a hard one. It's definitely not going to be McGrady. Hakeem would be my obvious pick except that he didn't end his career in Houston. I know that wasn't entirely his fault, but still... If Yao retires a Rocket, he has to be the winner.

Give me a break. That's like saying Princess Diana wasn't British because she died in France.

At least this thread shows, in term of number of people,

Rockets fan > YOFs > TOFs

    roughly 28:9:2

The Question is: WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE, who is gonna be the best? The answer is a personal opinion about the future, not something that is already settled. Can Yao be better than Hakeem? Absolutely, why not?

He won't ever be the defensive beast Hakeem was, and he won't have his quickness or explosiveness, but I believe he can develop into an OVERALL better player. Now, he has a long way to go, and if I had to bet I'd take Hakeem. But I sure wouldn't mind if Yao led the Rockets to 3 rings and bested Hakeem's 2.

that statment is so lame. Is funny how you use "rocket fan" instead of "DoF". lol

please read the poll's title, is PREDICTION of WHEN ITS ALL SAID AND DONE. In another word, guessing the future.

Just b/c dream put up big #, doesn't mean T-mac or Yao can't in the future. No one will know what will happen in the future, is just their opinion/guess. No one have the right to berate people just b/c your opinion is differ from your.

Guys above, you are right, I understand it is about future.

However, you cannot denny this is the best guess we have regarding YOFs, TOFs percentage. For example, some YOF will vote for Yao, some won't. Some Rockets fans will vote for Yao, some won't , pretty much cancel out.

The point is, this is the best guess we have, so far.

Oh, some people may feel offended to be called as XOFs, some think Rockets fans are better than XOFs. I don't, you are free to be any kinds of fans you wanna be, and Rockets fans are no better than XOFs.

I could careless who is the best of the 3. I am happy that we have 2 superstars NOW, that can carry us to more than 1 championship if everything works out well. Definately enough on this team to give hope, I am looking for the TMac/Yao Monster to lead us to more than 2 championship cuz that would just be awesome :) (Not to mention we could rub in Mav's fan's faces :)).
