We still have Jeffries, Chuck, and Andersen for that. With Bosh showing no signs of interest, Morey would probably give up an asset on draft night if a good deal was in place. No point in gambling on free agency SnT at this point.

Shane won't be S&T'd - he has another year on his contract.

No, a SnT player to the Rockets, ala Bosh or Amare.

Keep Battier! If he gets traded, get him back when his current contract is up.

true, if something good comes up you take it. but shane is a linchpin here, and he would be one of the more useful assets IF a S&T comes up... i think trading him to move up in the draft is a bad idea since rookies are gambles just like free agents.

trading him for a proven player would be ok, but what position would we need? we can draft a center. the rest are pretty much covered. i think he's as good of a fit as we can get.

    just my opinion though.

As much as people gripe on here about his offensive liability and his decline, the guy is pretty darn good at what he does. The only way he gets traded is if it's for a big time player and even then, I don't know if Morey will do it. Kinda hope the guy retires as a Rocket. Truly a class act.

    Isn't this obvious?

Rebuilding is the only possibility left for the Rockets.

    Battier to Utah for Boozer.

You're stupid if you want to get rid of Shane. Who the heck is going to guard player like Kobe?? Shane is like the ONLY one in the league that can defense him pretty good.

HA, when I bought mine, I was debating Yao or Tracy. I bought Tracy's because he was the face of the franchise at the time. I don't know who's to get now.

I stopped trying to predict Morey a long time ago, who the hell knows. I would like THURSDAY to be it for Shane in a Rox uniform because he could be used, along with additional picks, to move up in the draft for a Patterson, Udoh, Monroe or even a Cousins.

I hope Shane's a Rocket for the rest of his NBA playing career.

The better defenses against the Kobe's are the ones with athletic big men at helping. If you want to improve defense against perimetrer scorers---> Yao, JHill, Aldrich...

Anyway, I love Shane, I think he can be a championship piece and absolutely would be very sad to see him go (personally it would bother me more than Landry's departure).

    - We need veterans desperately.
    - We were a bad team last year defensively, we need effort, work, discipline behind.

If we trade Shane, I will burst into massive girly tears.
