People look at the schedule like it will be tough for us but I think its the other way. We have shown we are more likely to beat the top teams.. think about it we have beaten all 3 big east teams as well as all the challengers in the west bar the Lakers. I think I would be more worried with a schedule consisting of Wizards, Pacers, Grizzlies etc. as they are the games we seem to drop.

Yes, rox is not far from Spurs, however:
Recently Jezz, Mavericks and Nuggets are hot. One more lose will change the position totally.

and just to add i don't think we can top the Spurs as they are just too consistent. However i'm sure we could hold onto 4th or even pass denver to the 3rd(thats possible these days isn't it? that a division winner can be in 4th?)

If we beat the Spurs and Hornets in our last two meetings with each of them then i'm gonna go out on a limb and make a bold prediction that YES we will win our division

Higher expectation results more knee-jerk threads after a loss.

Not if they keep blowing 17pt 4th quarter leads or just flat out suck down the stretch.

    Sincerely,
Chicago Bulls and Tampa Bay Buccineers.

None of those teams are playing at full strength, with the exception of Utah getting all their players back, if not on track... The Lakers have hit a wall lately... The rest are up and down... Utah is on a roll lately, though... So we have a chance in most of those...

    Mavericks and Jazz are hot.

Nuggets have been struggling for the last 2 weeks.

They are 2-4 in the last 6 games. Of the 2 games they won, they beat LA who played their 3rd game in 4 nights. They limped away from Atlanta with a 1pt win.

If the Nuggets are hot, they make the rockets look BLAZING HOT.

Sweet, don't look now but OKC are destroying the Mavericks. Up by 20 closing in on the end of the 3rd

Mavs play the Spurs on the Wed. and Hornets on Thurs. If they lose tonight to the Thunder (Thunder up by 20 at the end of 3rd), then I'm pulling for them for at least one of those. I prefer the Hornets game (Hornets with 5 wins in a row now).

New Orleans is 1/2 a game behind us and SA and NO have much easier schedule coming up. The Roxs will be in 3rd by the end of the week !!

    - we still have not proven that we can beat a decent team on the road.

    Celtics? Detroit? Orlando?

    - we play 5-8 almost every game against the elite teams

19-8 vs .500 teams (2nd best in the west 4th best in the NBA)
Elite? Celtics, Cavs, Orlando, Others Denver, Portland, Utah, Nola, SA, Dallas etc.etc.

We got absolutely no problem vs Good/Elite teams, is the scrubs that give us problem. The good thing scrubs will not play in the playoff.

You need to get a clue, is like you have not been watch this team closely.

Rockets plays to competition. We can lose to the Grizzlies and Wizards, but can totally blowout the Cavs and Magic.....

So lets say if we win our division we become #3 in the west. If we dont win the division, lets say our playoff seeding will be #4.

#3 plays #6 but #6 may be the Utah Jazz. On the other hand, the #5 team is the Portland Trailblazers.

Would you lose on purpose to get the #4 seed in order to matchup against #5 Portland? Or would you still go for the win and play against a team that plays extremely well at home and beaten us the past few years?

Honestly, Id lose... matchups are more important than the seeding imo

Don't confuse the poor guy with facts.

Anyway, I still don't think we'll win the division, but who knows?
