The Rockets defense will get better and will prevail over the course of the brutal schedule. There is no game in (road or home) that the Rockets wouldn't be able to take care of business. I'm willing to bet that we have the best Team Defense in the league right now. Name me another team that can play better defense than the Rockets?
uh, this entire THREAD is speculation. what is your point? you're speculating that we may not make the playoffs. oh my gosh! speculation! come on guy.
I like to make some more bold predictions: - Lakers will go 0-22 and miss the playoffs. - Rockets will go 22-0 and win the Western Conference. - Rockets will go 16-0 in plyaoffs and win the championship.
why'd you quote me? I'm not the one saying they're going to miss the playoffs, lol. I don't agree that we have the best defense though, we're up there. I still think the best defensive team in the league is the celtics, the spurs are up there as well.
I quoted you because I agreed with you, sorry for the confusion. As for the Celtics, perhaps they are a TAD better defensively than the Rockets...but seriously, not by much. You cannot discount the tandem of Battier/Artest and then throw in Hayes and Lowry at their respective positions...SOLID. Our defense is better than the Spurs right now. It has been for some time.
No, all I want to say is that it is too early to make that prediction. The west is tough. Actually, no team except the lakers can say that they will be certainly in the playoffs right now.
Ummm Actually only one team will be the odd man out from making the playoffs. 7/8.....those odds are fantastic for the remaining teams not called the Lakers. That said, the Rockets are a lock...simple as that. Whether or not they get homecourt...that's remains to be seen.
ah okay, well either way you and I agree that we have a very formidable team here. I'm looking forward to the playoffs.
Tmac is still a rocket player, the rockets pay him 23, 24M for the next two years, then you want to let people never talk him, leave him alone. As for the record, I did not say some negative things for TMac, but your poster just not make sense.
What's the meaning to talk about him? He is out of this season. We should focus on what we have now. I believe this is what the rockets players are doing right now.
I'm mostly worried about the road games. We haven't been the greatest at executing down the stretch of a close game, especially on the road Road games left: LA, Denver, Utah twice, SA, NO, Dallas Ouch
Fair enough, we just hope the team can move forward. I guess that you and I have one argreement, we both did not like Rafer as a PG, is that true?
I'm hopeful, but not that optimistic. How many championships do the Spurs have? How many years have they been playing together? I want homecourt and a date against Portland, New Orleans, Dallas, or Denver. If that happens, I think we have a realistic chance to advance. If the Rockets beat Utah in Utah after a back to back and travel, I might go with your prediction.
Rockets should win all of those games you just pointed out. If their defense is there (which I have no doubt at this point in the season it will be) then they will methodically win all of those games.
Being that only 3 games or so separates the 2-7 seeds, I dont see any reason to believe otherwise. We play our best ball after All Star break every season and this year seems like no exception. Rockets WILL win the SW division!
