I could very well be, but I don't see your vote up there, be interesting to hear your thoughts. I always wonder why some people are afraid to vote because it could be brought back up later, seems silly. Don't be afraid of putting yourself out there. DD
There's a couple of things I want to touch on in regards to this. Morey has stated several times that they don't plan on having T-Mac until late Nov. or early to mid-December. This is a different team than last year's team. No Artest and No Yao. With that said, the "role players" are going to have to play a different role than last year. In my opinion, the Rockets main concern/objective is to get the team up and running. It wouldn't make basketball sense to bring T-Mac into the fold when the team is going to have to develope chemistry again. I believe they want to make sure they are at least running in one direction before bringing him in. It would be a lot harder for him to "mess it up" with the team already in place. I think there's still a highly chance that the Rockets trade him. It's going to be hard to trade him without trading Battier/Landry or without a third team. Not only that, the Rockets are probably going to have to take a bad contract as well. Idealy, Kevin Martin would be a great fit if the Kings would be willing to make that trade. The other hard thing is does the Rockets have enough assets to play with??
One last thing.... The Rockets might be able to strong arm a someone depending on how bad the economy is with ticket sells and stuff. There are many teams right now that aren't selling enough tickets. It's very very tough out there for several teams. That's one of the main reasons why the Grizzles took on AI. They need ticket sells. So to many teams... $23 Mil looks really good for a team like Sac... They could be losing their team very shortly...
I Agree, just what if he was in Chicago working with that trainer because he and the team have plans to trade him there. Remember Kobe was about to be traded there while he was rehabbing, but Lakers pulled out at last minute. He could be dealt to Chicago i seen stranger things happen.
I wish there was a way to lock the thread now, or identify who voted before the other thread came out..... DD
Sounds about right, but I think he'll be traded for expiring contracts and draft picks. I think Morey still intends to clear space. My guess is Miami for J.O. and Miami's 2011 first round pick.
No, if anything we're gonna let the McGrady contract expire or resign him on the cheap. We are seeing him in December.
That's around when I would expect him, based on what we've read. If he's back by then at anywhere close to where he was the season before last, when healthy, it'll be huge for the team. Either his play, or what we get for him in a deal.
Leslie Alexander LOVES T-Mac. The only way we trade him is if the team is not in good shape to make the playoffs. There would be a mutual understanding that the trade would go down to acquire useful assets, with the Rockets re-signing him in the offseason. Tracy McGrady will retire in Rocket Red.
