I posted this on the 27th of last month when the Hornets were still in the middle of the pack: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=4361674&postcount=67 I really felt they would end up in 8th when it looked like it would definitely be Dallas at the time. They were showing signs of slipping and they had a tough closing stretch. I also picked the Knicks to beat them a couple of weeks ago in one of the games threads. I figured the Spurs would hold on to the 2nd seed and that the Jazz would finish 6th. I didn't foresee Duncan's knee issues or Ginobili's season ending. I also didn't see the Jazz sucking this much down the stretch or Yao missing the last few games.
1 Lakers vs. 8 Hornets 2 Rockets vs. 7 Jazz 4:0 Sweepin` the Jass, so Rox is 9-8 in the last three yrs. 3 Nuggets vs. 6 Mavericks 4 Spurs vs. 5 Blazers Half 1 Lakers vs. Spurs 2 Rockets vs. Mavericks 4:3 Dal win the first 2 games, and Rox win 50 points in the 7th game. Western C. Lakers vs. Rockets 1:4 Rox win the first and last 2 games, and Yao dunk on Bynum in the last second while Fakers are 71:70 for the lead. Final Celtics vs. Rockerts 0:4 Rox sweep the BOS, Rox are 8:8 against the Bos in the finals since the season 1980-1981 including 1985-1986.
This is how I think it will go. 1 Lakers vs. 8 Jazz 2 Nuggets vs. 7 Mavericks 3 Rockets vs. 6 Hornets 4 Blazers vs. 5 Spurs 1 Lakers vs. 4 Blazers 2 Nuggets vs. 3 Rockets 1 Lakers vs. 3 Rockets (After watching the Blazers sweep the Lakers at home a few days ago, imagine if they took out the Lakers). The East, I don't think about too much, because we have shown to be comfrotable against all three contenders.
