9-7 with a wild card birth most likely, possibly win division if the Colts crap the bed again. I think we can be better than that but we are relying on a lot of new pieces on offense so I could see us struggling to put up points early in the season.
So we have a very talented team...with a soft schedule...and you're saying 10-6? Something doesnt match up correctly there. You cant just say, "we've beat the Bengals a lot, so we'll just chalk up another victory"....at the end of the day, they are a very strong team. 4-2 in division seems more realistic to me than 5-1. Also, Pats without Brady are still a top team...BB is the mastermind behind that team, not Brady. For reference, they went 11-5 with Matt Cassell. The Pats are also favored to win that game without Brady. So although I expect the Texans to win, it's most definitely nothing more than a coin flip. Chiefs, Vikings, Packers, Broncos, Raiders...all teams that will be making a strong playoff push. Any of these can go any way on a given Sunday. The Vikings is probably the easiest of the bunch, but if we dont have a solid and healthy OLine, that game is a toss up because our offense will have just as difficult a time scoring as theirs would. If we had our current team with last year's schedule, we'd win 13 games. But because of the schedule, 10 wins is more realistic, with a chance at 11 if we are very fortunate with our health.
We won't lose to the colts twice, and I think we have a better chance of beating a Brady-less Pats team than the Packers...
Garoppolo is going to tear us apart. Texans will take him lightly and we will see another QB that should have been drafted.
11-5 feels achievable in this division. Looking forward to the Jags crumbling under the pressure of expectations.
We won't be taking anyone lightly. And you do remember the Patriots snatched him up before we were up. It's not like we passed on him.
4 biggest teams I want to destroy: Pats, Jags, Raiders, Vikes That way, I don't have to hear people talk about who we "should have, could have, would have drafted"... On a real note, I really want to beat Chiefs and Broncos, Chiefs have our number and I want Brock to go 24-28/400+/ 4 TDs 0 int against Broncos...
4-2 and 9-7 Sweep the titans, and split with the colts and Jaguars. Bears, Lions, Chargers, Raiders, and Bengals will be wins.
7-9 or 8-8. Was not a big supporter of making Brock our franchise guy and the poor o-line worries me. I love our playmakers on offense but not sure if we'll get the most out of them.
Voted 10+. I dont think that this team is worse than the teams from the past two seasons and though the schedule will be tougher, I don't think they'll regress below the 9-6 mark. I actually think that adding to that win total is more likely. This team gets 9-7 on the defense alone. Just look at last season.
Put me with the train of thought that the defense is basically back (if not better due to healthy Cushing/Clowney and experience in 2ndary) in business and they pulled 9 rabbits outta the hat with Brian F. Hoyer and the funky bunch at the helm with ONE receiver. I believe in miracles y'all. 13 regular season wins.
Anything short of making the Playoffs is a failure. This team clearly is going all in with this core group of players. BoB has to prove that he's one of the better coaches in the NFL.
