I'd seriously be down with this. If we can acquire Gay relatively easy, why not? He's not the most efficient scorer but he's an upgrade on the offensive side of the ball over Ariza and can play small ball 4 with ease. He's a capable 3 point shooter and is a good finisher.

I'd be happy to take on McLemore too, he's not lived up to the expectations that come with being a high lottery pick but that aside he's still a nice player which provides depth. Good shooter. We need shooters. Can create his own shot. He'd be a great wing to have.

I would do it if we could send them Brewer for Gay only. Otherwise forget it. He can't defend a 3 (or a 4 for that matter) so we'll always be at a disadvantage and he's too expensive for what he brings. If we need a guy that just puts up points and not much else, we just signed one for $20m and at least that guy can play without the ball in his hands all the time.

I feel like we should hold onto the cap space and wait. Maybe work on getting rid of Brewer as cheaply as possible. Churn some of our assets so that they might be worth more in the next few months. With all this extra cap space, I feel like some good players might get waived. With new FA signings, there will also be way more disgruntled players available in trade soon. Maybe we can get a very good player if we practice a bit of patience.

I'm surprised we didn't pick up Ezeli for $7.3m. I don't think he's a great player, but that's a backup player price these days and he would make a great backup at least.

What happened with jerebko? Anyone knows? I only saw the celtics picking amirs option.

Also yabusele doesnt want to be stashed so theres trouble there. They dont have roster spots so bound to do some trade.

    From the Boston Herald:

"Though Danny Ainge held out into the early evening to see if there were any potential trades that made sense, the Celtics president finally decided to exercise the second-year options on Amir Johnson and Jonas Jerebko."

I want us going after Holliday, Bledsoe, or Rubio. All 3 have been mentioned in trade rumors, any of the 3 would help our team immensely
