KPJ/Christopher/Washington -Nix cut Green/Gordon/Washington/Nwaba -Queen cut KMJ/Tate/Eason Smith/Eason/Tate/Garuba Sengun/Fernando/Bobon
Expect Eason, TyTy, Garuba and Hudgins (recently signed to 2 way) to be sent down to Vipers. I'd cut Chriss and re-sign with Vipers too. KPJ - Burke - Nix Green - Jaygup - Mathews - Queen EGo - Tate - Sterling Brown Jabari - KJ - Nwaba Sengun - Boban Trading 2 or 3 of EGo, Burke, Nwaba, KJ or Brown may make too much sense. And Stone also said Rockets seeking center in FA so do not get attached to either Boban or Fernando (not re-signed).
Eason, TyTy and maybe even Garuba aren’t going to get any playing time until Stone trades the flotsam away. Gordon, Matthews and Tate need to go because Silas will play all three of those dudes 30 minutes a game.
We're going from Christian Wood's defense at the 4 to Jabari Smith's defense at the 4. Gonna be night and day.
KPJ/Christopher/Nix/Washington (G-League to start) Green/Gordon/Nwaba/Queen (2 way) KMJ/Tate/Matthews Smith/Eason Sengun/Bobon/Garuba (G-League) and then there is Wall...
so that’s the 20-man roster for the summer. I guess we have to include Wall. And I remember Bima saying we’re likely to guarantee Queen’s contract given last year’s success in the G-league. So that’s 20. Baring an EG and/or KJ trade, We know Boban, Chriss, Sharpe, and Burke are likely to be waived for the 15-man roster. But we basically need to clear two additional spots to get to 15, if we are adding a center in free agency. If you assume we buy out Wall then it’s just one more cut. and we probably want at least one spot to sign someone on a 2-way contract, so we probably need to make a consolidation move this offseason.
I don't know if you watched those games or not, but many of them were some of the best basketball this team played all season.
The depth chart probably looks something like KPJ/Nix/Washington Green/Christopher/Matthews Gordon (barring a trade)/Tate/ KMJ/Queen Smith/Eason/Garuba Sengun/Marjanović (or a FA signing like Nic Claxon--which I like as it hurts Brooklyn) I'm slotting Eason in our 4-spot in the rotation since we have a penchant for trying to play small. We really have too many small ball rotation options KPJ /Washington / Nix Green / Matthews Gordon/Christopher Eason / Tate/ KMJ / Queen Smith I'd much rather be able to go bigger, as there are some teams that you need 6'8 + size in the front court. KPJ Green Eason Smith Sengun / or FA signing
Tyty/Nix/JC/KPJ Green/EG/KPJ/JC KPJ/Tate/Eason/Martin Smith/Eason/Tate Sengun/Boban/Smith Basically, this doesn't matter, is my point. We're going positionless. Welcome to the new NBA.
Why can’t we trade EG and sign a vet who won’t take minutes away from the youngsters ? John Wall still probably doing some sort of mentor role. He bought JC some gaming stuff etc sure he wouldn’t do that if he wasn’t having an involvement with the rookies
I really really can't believe it. We drafted those 5 plus Garuba and Christopher in 2 seasons. That's insane. As long as our coaching staff and management know how to motivate people born in the early 90's, we are headed for a dynasty.
