I think we will be lucky to get 5 wins. The teams on this list that have losing records (both LA teams, Memphis) are not as bad as their records indicate. There are no obviously easy wins in this set of games. Well, maybe San Antonio. In about half of these games I think we're the clear underdog. I'll say 4-7. Wins against, um... San Antonio, New Orleans, split against Denver without Murray (Alpi always shows up to play against his hero), and we barely eak out a win against Memphis at home. Fortunately the schedule starts getting easier pretty soon after this.
Memphis is not good without Morant and Brooks. We are going to play them before 3 times before he is back. That is very fortunate. I agree on the total at 4-7. I think Lebron and the refs make the game in LA un-winnable. I don’t think we split with Denver. Even without Murray they are fantastic.
Yeah, I agree they're not good right now, but I also don't think they're nearly as bad as they've shown thus far. Without Morant it's probably a pretty even matchup with us.
Pelicans W (If Alpi won't play then probably L) Denver L @ Clippers W @ Lakers L @ GS L Memphis W Denver W @ Dallas L @ Denver L @ Lakers W Spurs W
I think we would go 6-5 because we do not shoot or play well in away games, but we will SHAKE the NBA when we beat Denver and I believe we will beat the Lakers and Maverick on the road, because of Dillion and Fred.
Honestly it's too hard to predict right now. We should just be the scrappy up and comers but we're knocking heads. On paper this is a super tough stretch, 4-7 is not slouching against that slate of opponents. If they come out with 5 or more wins? Idk what then, that's beyond expectations by anyone who isn't just wearing red goggles.
So far I got the record right, but have 3 losses for the next 3 and a win against the Spurs, i.e. 1-3. Hope they can go 2-2 but I still think 5 out of those 11 is more than fine. Our defense is no fluke, we have the #1 opponents PPG and 4th best defense right now. It will not be 4th for the whole year, but even a top 10 or 15 defense at the end of the year would be huge.
The next 3 are big. We haven't won on the road yet and the good teams have all been down a star player. We've been in all those games (except Orlando), so we're knocking on the door, just have to go through it.
