If Obama gets elected president, you might just get your party back.

The Republicans could even start listening to your concerns and issues...

Hilarious. Obama is easily the most left-wing in ideology of the three standing candidates. Easily. And he has no meaningful accomplishments that show that he'll work across the aisle. Quite the opposite, actually. Typical lies from the Hopium marketing campaign...

I've already spanked you on this issue. You asked for his bi-partisan accomplishments and were provided with a meaningful list. Now be a good little troll, go back and look up that thread, then take some time to reflect.

It's ok you don't have to write an apology letter.

None of those were meaningful in the sense that you actually had to convince someone across the aisle to compromise. They all passed with strong support. Those were creampuff bills. And the longer Obama keeps pissing on McCain and Hillary, the more divisive his political figure becomes. Wright only adds to that. All of that further diminishes his claim that he could work across the aisle to get things done. He has no history of doing it, and he is rapidly becoming a divisive figure. Not exactly a recipe for success... All talk... no cred

This whole thread reeks of fear by Democratic supporters. Come, people, don't be afraid to win. Ooooh, the big bad GOP attack machine (wringing hands) will beat our candidate up. The Democratic attack machine is gearing up to do the same thing. A pox on all who want to fight this fight in the gutter.

Democrats can win this election by sticking to the issues. Geez, I don't know if some of you guys (and gals) are just too young or too ignorant or too afraid their party leaders will shoot themselves in the foot -- repeatedly. Get a grip!

Edited or no, the video definitely gives the same impression that I got while watching that convention. The GOP intentionally designed the convention as an opportunity to say "September Eleventh" on national TV as many times as possible. That was the theme of the convention. It's also why they chose to hold it in NYC in the face of massive protests.

FEAR OBAMA: He is an angry black man who wants to rape your daughter and sell government secrets to his twin brother Osama.

That's not what I meant. I have no illusions Obama's some non-party politician who is conveniently Democrat, such as a Michael Bloomberg (who has been all three at one point). Obama will work across the aisle on some ideological issues, but if Obama stays consistent, he will establish a new platform for the Democratic party.

If that happens, it will force Republicans to reassess their own. Should they stay a predominantly white party? Or do they actively court the latino bloc? That and similar issues that are transforming the American cultural landscape could and will invoke a change in traditional party positions now or later.

Both parties use the fear card. The Dems state that a vote for McCain is voting for the same thing we have now. That is the use of fear. Fear of a verbatim copy of the last 8 years. Of course, Republicans feared giving McCain the nomination because the far right wing threatened running their own candidate because McCain was too liberal.
