    I think Lin is good enough to be a starter on a contender if we get Dwight.The Lin/Bev combination is good enough to hold steady with a Harden/Howard/Parsons big 3.

    We trade Lin/Asik to LA for Pau Gasol.
    We sign the following free agents: Josh Smith, Nate Robinson (6th man of the year candidate) and JJ Hickson.

    Morey has stated there will be much less turnover, and while he's obviously not going to reveal his hand, I believe him for the most part. The only situation that changes that is if Paul wants to come here.

    *Rockets trade T.Jones and Lin for Gasol, Chris Duhon/Steve Blake. This scenario is assuming Dwight chooses someone other than the Lakers or Rockets. Lakers save a ton of money on luxury tax in exchange for taking an extra year of Jeremy Lin.

    Many think they do not care about luxury tax, but if they lose Dwight they will not compete whatsoever this year and may begin to rethink that -- this move would save them ~$23 million in luxury tax. Rockets may be the only team in the league willing to take on Gasol without dumping pure garbage contracts in return. Lakers will be primed for two max free agents in 2014 either way, but they save a lot of tax money now (ironically the Rockets would be competing in that same market, and would be in even better position by dumping Lin).
