We've turned so many corners, we're back to square one ;)

Memphis will not drop below us, maybe the Blazers / Jazz.

I was disappointed in the team's showing vs. Utah in a crucial game jockeying for standings, but somehow I still want to believe this team has another gear in them seeing them win last night and come back 20 down on the road. The thing is though, why were they down by that big in the first place anyways? Tough to really get a read of this team, but I'm still hoping for the best. That Mavs game will be soooo crucial

I don't think Memphis loses to Denver tonight in Memphis.

We need to win 5 of the next 7.
Looking at the schedule, it looks possible.
Based on this season, it seems impossible.

Haha Just scrolled up to see some posters are still talking about Memphis.
WHY !! WHY do you guys do this!!! We were down 20 to the Cavs without Lebron. This isn't a team that is taking care of business
8th or 9th seed. If you want to talk 7th seed and Utah, fine, you're a glass half full.
6th, Memphis or Portland, you're just delusional.

Memphis might lose every game remaining in the regular season.

Memphis really has to suck that much and the Rockets turning on that switch to get to that spot at this point......possible? Well, yes. Probable? Uhhh.....no

If anything, the Portland spot is the more realistic target, and with some luck and good play, it is doable.

Portland plays 5 of their last 7 at home, and are healthy: Boston, Miami, OKC, Minnesota and Denver. I think they win 4 of those. Their 2 road games are at Golden State and Sacramento. They might win at Sacramento if Boogie isn't playing (and he's missing a lot of games lately). I think Portland ends up at 44-38, (with a 5-2 finish). They'll be the #5 seed in a 'rebuilding year'...

Seeds 6 thru 8 are a toss up:

Memphis has lost 8 of 10, have 4 of their last 7 on the road, and they are not healthy. With road games at: Orlando, Dallas, Clippers and Golden State - I think they lose all of them. The could possibly lose all 3 home games to Toronto, Chicago and Golden State. I think they find a way to win 1 game, and end up 42-40.

Utah has won 8 of their last 11, and should have beaten Golden State last night. 4 of their last 7 are at home: Minnesota, San Antonio, Clippers and Dallas. Their road games are at: Phoenix, Denver, and the Lakers. I think they go at least 4-3, but possibly 5-2 to end up at 41 or 42 wins.

Houston is 4-6 over their last 10. However, we have 5 games at home with: Chicago, OKC, Phoenix, Lakers, Sacramento. We should win 4 of those, but we may find a way to only win 3. We have road games at Dallas and Minnesota. I think we'll split those. That would leave us at 41 or 42 wins. I think it goes to the 82nd game to determine whether we're at #6, 7 or 8.

    ********************

Dallas is 4-6 over their last 10 games, and has 4 road games left at: Detroit, Minnesota, Clippers and Utah. I think they win 1 of those. They have home games at Houston, Memphis and San Antonio. I think they win 2 of those and finish at 40-42. They'll be the team missing the playoffs.

You have MEM beating DAL on the road. With the way they are sputtering down the stretch, I see them losing this game. Which introduces a clusterf*** as 4 teams would be 41-41 and tied for the 6th-9th seeds.

After all the garbage we've seen this year, the 5th seed is still up for grabs. Should be a fun end to the season.

You're the worst. And I mean that in a friendly, joking but serious also way.
But you agreed with me that this time will not be capable of winning 5 in a row to close out the season, but now it changes because they managed to beat a lebron-less Cavs even though it was an ugly win??
