We will win out the rest of our games, so whatever seed that gets us I saw the eye of the tiger in our team last night, except Howard and Dmo, but we about to **** this league up
If we win out, I think we're almost assured 6th seed. I just looked at the schedules for DAL, POR, MEM and UTA. POR is almost certainly going to be 5th seed, but the other 3 have WAY worse schedules than us, with many playing GSW or LAC multiple times lol.
I predict that the Rockets aren't all the sudden going to become world beaters and win out. That's pure homerism if you think that's even a remote possibility . The Rockets are NOT a consistent team, and they DO NOT play consistent & disciplined defense. THEY WILL DROP at least a game or two against sub par competition. Thats a given. I would "Predict" going 3 and 2 over the last 5 games, and finishing 41-41, and thats being optimistic if you want to keep it real. Pretty much the Rockets will likely be at the mercy of Dallas losing games. Dallas is planning on winning as much is these Rockets are. Both teams are inconsistent, and neither team will perform at a super high level. The stats probably still show that the likelihood is high for the Rockets to make it, but I'd say right now that its probably a coin flip between us, and Dallas for that last spot. I just don't trust this team to show up 5 games straight.
pretty much this. I wish this weren't the case, but this has been the reality since November. No reason to think April is going to be any different.
I have no idea who's even still playing for them (or isn't playing for them; had no idea Conley was out since early March) but Conley & a host of others aren't expected to return this season, playoffs included.
Would be shocked if Memphis wins more than 1 game of its remaining schedule. And they could still take the 8th seed over Dallas. Utah and Houston will be fighting it out and loser will be 7th seed, Portland should steal 5th spot easily.
Hate to break it to you, but the Rockets are a gimmick first round opponent for the Warriors (and also the mavs and blazers) Any of these teams will be lucky to win 1 game vs them.
You guys don't remember losing to them when they didn't have Curry where Dwight went off for like 20/15/5? and Harden threw up like 30? Yeah. OK.
Best chance to land Durant is to win out, get the 6th seed and upset the Thunder. That's the best we can hope for so that's what I am rooting for.
Spurs have zero incentives not to rest the starters in the last game against the Mavs. The key is to beat Dallas on Wed.
If the Jazz would have won tonight and the Rockets lost tomorrow, that probably would have been the season.
If the Rockets beat the Mavs tomorrow, that will make Rockets/Jazz/Mavs all have a 39-39 record. Because the Mavs and jazz play each other on April 11th, one of them will obviously lose and go to 40 losses. This means that if the Rockets just win their last 5 games, they are a lock for the playoffs.
