I have to disagree with some of you. I think the Lakers will have a better time against the Thunder than the Heat. Looking at the Lakers, their biggest weakness is still defending the 3 pointer, which the Heat can take advantage of. The bigs for the Thunder aren't really going to stop Howard because w/ Nash he'll play more of a mobile game, something Perkins/Ibaka isn't used to defending. Expect ALOT, and I mean ALOT of pick and ____ for the Lakers this year w/ Howard rolling and Gasol popping up...As well as lots of spot up shots for Jamison/Blake/Kobe. Of course Kobe's gonna take some iso's, but he's actually a better passer than people give him cred for.

My prediction is that the Lakers win it all IF Nash can stay healthy.

Don't know if we can contend with the unstoppable force that is Desagnia Diop though. Asik and Motiejuanas are gonna have step it up when they goes toe to toe with him.

Lakers may have a tough time defending the 3...but if they force their opponents to shoot the 3 instead of going into the paint...especially OKC and Miami...they are going to win it all.

Are you saying no team will win a title this year? That would be impossible. Scalabrine is semi-retired and probably will stay that way

Many people think the Lakers have a shot at winning it all but I'm not completely sold. They look good on paper, but there are several key points to consider. 1). Steve Nash is OLD. Yes, he can still score and dish the ball but young PGs like Mario Chalmers will torch him on the floor. Second, I'm not sold on Howard. His lack of offensive moves will limit his effectiveness once the defense swarms in on him. He'll get his 20/10, but how effective will he really be? Finally, you have great players who are already on the downside of their career and has logged a lot of miles - Gasol (32), Kobe (34) and Metta (32). If it was three years ago, then hell yes. But with the grind of a full season and playoffs, I don't know if they're physically capable of banging with the Heat even if they make it to the Finals.

Kobe is not the same damn player he use to be. He has surely digressed and not so dominant as before. He's very streaky. Nash is old as hell and cannot play a lick of defense. Dwight Howard is not on Andrew Bynum's level when healthy.
