Right, but so many posts before had Dragic starting. Then they had Lowry starting. Then some had Machado, and now we have Lin.

    Fun thread, but kinda pointless...

I'm still not sure if that's a foregone conclusion. I'm remaining optimistic Morey can offer more assets JUST to keep Lamb. I'm just prayin' that's the case!

Heck of a lineup there, but unfortunately I could see McHale giving Davis and Lee way more minutes than they should be getting considering how we need to develop D-Mo and Lamb.

Pick up Asik and that's it. No Howard (Morey wants to give up the farm for a guy who doesn't want to play for us). No Bynum (The guy is talented, young but a time bomb waiting to happen). Keep Martin for one more year as (by far) the oldest guy on the team to help groom Lamb into our future at SG next year.

PG: Jeremy Lin, Toney Douglas, Scott Machado
SG: Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, (Zoran Dragic)
SF: Chandler Parsons, Terrence Jones, Marcus Morris
PF: Royce White, Patrick Patterson (Gary Forbes)
C: Omer Asik, D-Mo, (Greg Smith)

Not a bad lineup. Will sneak into the playoffs this year. Omer Asik and D-Mo will provide a nice 1-2 punch as far as offense and defense go. I think Royce White has stud written all over him and will beat out PPat for the starting gig at PF. Morris will spend another year manning the 3rd string SF/PF positions.

    Camp battles:
    1. Starting PF: White will eventually prove superior to Patterson
    2. Starting SF: Parsons is the starter with Jones itching for his spot. Will be a good one to watch. While Jones has more potential I think Parsons will be the better NBA player this year.
    3. Backup PG: With the show Machado put on this summer I wouldn't be suprised to see him backup Lin. He's a pure PG with serious talent and I wouldn't be suprised to see him push out Douglas. Douglas owns backup spot based purely on experience. For now.
    4. Sixth Man: D-Mo vs Jones vs Patterson vs Lamb
    5. 10th Man: Morris vs Douglas vs Machado

Next years draft priorities (with anywhere from 1-3 1st round picks):
1: SG to keep Lamb on his toes and challenge for possible starting spot
    2: C
    3. PG

HOU receives: Andrew Bynum, Jason Richardson, Chris Duhon
LA receives: Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu
ORL receives: Kevin Martin, Marcus Morris, PPat, Royce White, 1st's and 2nd's

Not sure on salary matches but LA still has TE from Odom trade so it should be close. I don't think C.Lee is going to be resigned.

    PG: Lin/ Duhon/ Livingston
    SG: Richardson/Lamb
    SF: Parsons/Forbes
    PF: Motiejunas/Jones
    C: Bynum/ Asik/ Smith

I think we should pick up Iguodala and a better back up point at the trade deadline. We will go into next year with...

    PG: Lin/ Capable PG
    SG: Lamb/ Richardson
    SF: Iguodala/ Parsons
    PF: Motiejunas/Jones
    C: Bynum/ Asik

2 deep at every position and mostly young talent with a sprinkle of veteran leadership.

    Depth Chart for 2012-2013 season:

    PG- Lin/Douglas/Machado
    SG- Martin/Lamb/Forbes
    SF- Parsons/White/Morris/(Jones)
    PF- Patterson/Jones/(White)
    C- Motiejunas/Asik

D-League: Harrellson (Machado: see below), Dragic, Aldemir

-Either Machado or Harrellson will be placed on D-League roster, though I predict Harrellson because if Machado is placed on D-League roster, any team is free to sign him to their active roster (too big of a risk for the Rockets, if they plan on keeping him).

    Starting Lineup
    PG: Jeremy Lin
    SG: Kevin Martin
    SF: Chandler Parsons
    PF: Royce White
    C: Omer Asik

    2nd String
    PG: Toney Douglas
    SG: Jeremy Lamb
    SF: Marcus Morris
    PF: Terrence Jones
    C: Donatas Motiejunas

Lot of potential, especially the way the young guys for the Rockets are performing in Summer League. I hope they don't make the mistake of trading everyone for Dwight Howard.
I think after this season, they could be a solid team, similar to the Indiana Pacers team. No big superstar but alot of great quality players, and potential for some of the young players to become a superstar.
Oldest member of the team is Kevin Martin, I believe.
The team has good size, and good defensive prone guys like Asik and White in their bigs.
    Excited to see the games.

Trust me on this. Ask any Knick fan. Matter fact re-watch last years Knick Celtics first round series. You do not want Douglas as your second string guard. That is a nightmare waiting to happen. Douglas can't play pg because he doesn't know how to run an offense. Scott Machado should come off the bench as the back up to Lin. Keep Douglas as far away from the PG spot as possible.

If you predicted 50% of this before the draft you are a modern day Mrs. Cleo

Better load up on Parsons in your fantasy drafts. Guys that tend to have good chemistry off the court with Lin have good success on the court with him. Not saying he gives them better treatment on the court, and it could be purely coincidental, but if you look at the chemistry on the court when Lin was paired with Landry Fields or Novak or Chandler...those guys played at a much higher level
